It’s not going to be as easy as Musk might think. Folk who know only private enterprise often come unstuck when dealing with the practicalities of a nation.
Whether Trump gets frustrated with all the delays and lashes out or just ditches Musk remians to be seen

Hi Roger. While the news is reporting that Musk got pulled back that is not what happened. Because of court orders demanding that the government tell the courts who are in charge of the firing, tRump told the cabinet heads that they were in charge of the firings … but if they did not do enough or fast enough Elon who will be looking over their shoulders will take over and do it. The fact is he doesn’t care how much he is breaking government. That is the point of it all. They want to gut the government, stop all services, force everything to go private, and return to the time before FDR. They want to return to the time of the robber barons and their gilded age. I really think we won’t pull out of this. Hugs

Currently Musk is reminding me of the character which turned up in the court of kings in centuries long gone.
The court favourite. Someone who the king favoured above all more established members of the ruling elite.
This fellow tended to have the ear of the king and threw His weight around a lot and was disdainful of others.
The elite used to settle their own differences, gang up on him and he fell, pretty messily too. A couple of kings were dragged down by the fall of their favourites too.
You can only do so much with money. Political manoeuvring will get you every time.
