Hi Roger. Yes that was a great moment in the US history. There was a newer one I did not post which was a democrat minority leader of a committee took on the chairman who mis gendered the only elected trans person to congress. The republicans in the house have decided they must call her by the wrong pronoun, calling her Mr. She clapped back by calling the chairman madam. But the democratic leader of the committee went after the chairman demanding to know if he had any decency. Then saying loudly he wouldn’t continue in the hearing if the chairman did not call Her by her correct pronoun. The republican got so flustered he gaveled out the committee. They republicans think they are proving a point but all they are doing is showing their stupid bigotry and hatefulness. She was duly elected by her state. Hugs

There is no dignity in that action of the republican. Maturity who have required him to use the honorific by which a person has chosen.

Roger his bigotry and being unwilling to accept someone he felt his god hated wouldn’t allow it. I have a feeling his bible was missing the new testaments parts with Jesus in it. I can not image living with that kind of hate, bile, and willingness to totally throw away common kindness and courtesy to anyone who had not harmed me. I had to train myself not to hate, not to have such anger and bitterness at my adopting family because it was harming me and not them. They wanted me to drown in it and let it destroy me. I did not give that to them. This republican is inviting that same poison into himself willingly. In the meanwhile he is proud of himself for what he thinks was a harm to the trans person. Hugs
