I ran across this over the weekend, and emailed it to myself in case I thought I ought to post it. I’m not sure it’s a great post, but it’s cool if you turn the volume down a bit at the beginning. It’s one of those little shorts that is somehow satisfying and a little cleansing to watch. I know it’s morning, and I do not work for any pastry providers. It’s just a neat little vid.

That looks like a better method than hand-dipping each one.

It does, doesn’t it? Makes great sense!

Hi MDavis. I love efficiency as long as it doesn’t cost any human worker their health or livelihood. I would rather pay two workers to do the same job one machine could do, unless the government is going to go with a high livable UBI. I sure loved the video. I commented to Ali about how we used to go to a Krispy Kreme and watch the donuts being made before ordering. Hugs

I briefly worked where my day started with prepping the donuts. We had a glazing machine at first. Took up quite a bit of floor space, but did the job. Then we were changed to hand dipping. After the first gross or so a day I began to have wrist and thumb issues.
Boo on mass production hand dipping! Boo, I say! I did like the results but I was perfectly happy with how the glazing machine product turned out.

Hi. Ali when we lived in WPB one of the reasons where we lived was grand was because we had so many different food options very close to us. One of them was a Krispy Kreme donuts shop. You could go there and on the way in they had all the way they make the donuts in view, especially as you neared the door to the glazing area. By the time you entered the shop overwhelmed by the sweet smell you were drooling for far more donuts than anyone person could eat. Even thinking of it now makes me want them so bad. Even my diabetes doctor told me it is OK to have some donuts or pancakes with maple syrup if you do it in moderation and a reasonable amount. You wrote … I’m not sure it’s a great post, … Yes it is. Oh yes it is. Ron and I are working towards supper and this was the perfect hunger booster. Thanks and hugs.

😄 Pancakes with maple syrup (and there must be butter) in moderation!😄
If I ate a pancake, there then would not be enough pancakes on the planet to fulfill me.
