David Fitzsimmons, formerly the award-winning syndicated editorial cartoonist at the Daily Star here in Tucson has a great substack and today’s entry is precisely about this subject, comparing what our Mad King wants to do to Harvard to the Nazification of the University of Munich in 1933

Hi Bruce. Thank you so much for the link. I really enjoyed the read. I knew some of that but not all of it. I had a spot education in childhood and I love history most of all. I think I need to make a post of that article you linked to. In the original news article this paragraph stood out to me. “It’s a transparent effort to change what is taught, what we say in our classrooms, what we teach our students, to make sure that the only things that are actually said on university campuses are things that the Trump administration wants to hear and wants to be said,” Andrew Manuel Crespo, a Harvard Law School professor, told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Monday. That scares me. Young people are easily indoctrinated. Religious groups know that if they can reach kids 7 or younger they indoctrinate them to believe what they preach. That is why first Florida and then so many other red states pushed the don’t say gay bills. One of the Florida co-signers said he was horrified that when kids came out to their peers they were accepted and welcomed by their fellow students. He wanted the kids too afraid to come out. He wanted the LGBTQ+ kids targeted for abuse and being hurt. One of the reason tolerance and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ was rising was kids were taught in school that it was OK and that they shouldn’t bully those who are different. It was working. Now Florida had removed all anti-bullying programs. Kids are again being taught to hate. So we must stop this indoctrination of hate and bigotry towards hate. Hugs
