Well, no, no it’s not. A change in the figurehead doesn’t change anything. The Church is still responsible for the genocides of upwards of half a billion people indigenous peoples around the world, stood by while Hitler conducted his genocide of autistics, assholes, dopers, drunks, gypsies, homosexuals, the infirm and Jews, and remains the core foundational tenant of every christian cult from Adventists to snake-handlers rolling on the floor babbling incoherently today. Not to mention The Church is the very antithesis of Jesus’ admonishment to ‘keep it in the closet’ ~ don’t be like the hypocrites who love to be seen; or the blasphemers Taking the Lord’s Name in Vain in their claim to ‘know’ the mind of God. And they don’t have respect for me, I don’t any reason to respect them
Another big distraction from what we should be paying attention to …

Hi Ten Bears. You missed the point entirely. It was not about the church. It was about changing the name and using the name a person prefers. It was saying why is it against your religion to call a trans person by their preferred chosen name yet perfectly OK to do it for the pope? If he can do it so can trans boys and trans girls. Hugs

No. My point was changing the person at the head of the organization does not change the organization. The Church is still The Church

Hi Ten Bear. I agree. That is not the point. The point of the mean is changing and accepting a different name for a person is “Just that easy”. It was a dig at the Catholics that refuse to use chosen pronouns and chosen names as it is against their religion … yet each pope does it and they applauded it. Hugs
