Trump bashed the Boss — once known as the “embodiment of rock & roll” — due to Springsteen’s criticism of the drumpf administration.
“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States,” Trump wrote. “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy.”
Trump went on to accuse Springsteen of being a “pushy, obnoxious JERK” and “dumb as a rock” for having previously supported President Joe Biden, before attacking Springsteen’s appearance.
“This dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country,” the president wrote, adding, “Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”
That, to me, sounded like a threat! It sounded like the President of the United States just threatened a citizen because he exercised his 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech. I mean, I’m surprised he didn’t say “Nice guitar you gots there. Shame should somthin’ happen to it”.

Hi Taurus-. You don’t suppose he feels threatened by The Boss, do you? It really said a lot to me that he had numerous choices in this situation: He could have ignored the criticism. He could have given the respect to Bruce he is due and considered the man’s perspective. He could have intellectually defended his position and said that Springsteen didn’t have all the information. He instead chose to cry like a spoiled kid and declare he never liked him anyway. Classy.

If you see an overweight barrel of a man who can barely form full thoughts criticizing someone like Springsteen with pouty remarks like, “I never liked him anyway” you are looking at a three year old mental breakdown because someone else got a bigger present than he did on christmas morning…

I guess one can say Trump excels at something: projection. If he’s pointing at someone or at someone doing something, it’s because he is that, and/or he’s doing that.

Hi Ali. I just thought to look it up. Springsteen is a lean, strong man at 75 years old and still rocking the stages around the world. He is a master of his craft, having positively influenced the careers of thousands of musicians and entertaining millions, he is still a humble and decent man.
Drumpf, by comparrison, is over-weight and needs help navigating a stage ramp man of 78 years old, threatening the equanimity of the world with his hate riddled policies. He is narcissistic, pompous and a fraud. Yeah, I can see why he would feel threatened.

Hi MDAVIS; I’ve seen some pictures that were not very flattering for him. I will admit that I have no idea what makeup will do for him, but I’ve seen people like Oprah who look extremely different without he makeup. So, if I could extrapolate that and make presumptions upon his age, I would say that his weight is doing him a lot of help when added to the makeup otherwise he’d look like an 80-year old man who doesn’t take particular good care of himself. Springsteen, by contrast, is in great shape. So, definitely threatened.

The unspoken thing in all of this is if he acts on it, tries to get him arrested, damaged, or deported. Or other people who don’t like Springsteen will take this as an opportunity to start hurling rocks at him from the front row…can’t we get this dude for defamation of character?

Hi Judy; I do truly fear issues like this. Bruce Springsteen isn’t just some no-named stranger of a poor immigrant or something. He is one of the most respected artists in the English speaking world. He has been the icon of Americana, the crown prince of the working class. I would not guess the safety of a person throwing rocks at The Boss, but I would bet grandmothers would be stomping the shit out of such a person in seconds.
I would bet Springsteen will do nothing about this because any response he gives elevates drumpf to someone The Boss should care about. The opinion of a turd is not relevant. Congress could rebuke drumpf if it weren’t that the repukesagains wouldn’t allow it. Low class attracts low class.

Hi. What tRump is counting on is his brownshirt violent cult enforcers. Not just the maga cult base of crazies that think anything negative said about or anyone blocking their cult leader desires needs to be threatened, badgered, harassed into being afraid to speak up against Dear Leader. But the real threat is from the real brownshirt enforcers that did Jan 6th and went to jail for him. The Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, the Three percenters who are well armed and don’t mind using violence. Republicans in congress have said they are scared of going against tRump for threats to their families, threats to their children. Judges that rule against tRump report threats increasing hundreds fold. That is why tRump makes these public denouncings so that his followers know who to target to make an example of. Hugs

Hi Scottie; That is one of the things that makes me very nervous. This damn fool keeps playing with fire. Like with the Jan6 bullshit, he sent these people to create chaos and the only thing that kept us from a civil war is that there were people there who were smarter than me. See, if I’d been in charge, I would have ordered the capital police to open fire. The only thing that’s more dangerous than that is if the fools had succeeded in taking over the capital for sure, because both of those eventually would have been a civil war. The smart people who run that department defused that issue as best they could. (I’m more the f’it type.) And, of course, the repukes refused to hold the little bastard responsible so it became a “ain’t he a hero!” moment. NOW, he is pissing his depends because The Boss calls him out for being the horrible human he is, and drumpf shows just how dinky is his dinky that he uses his office to threaten the man!
I say that since they are a similar age, drumpf should back up his boasts and the two duke it out on the front lawn.
