Hi Roger. You are so correct. And sadly the infection is deliberate. Funny I should read your comment now. See Thursday I was on my way home from the allergist having gotten my shots and as I neared home about 7 miles away the car broke down and the engine shut down. I was so lucky that I was able to coast to a nearby side street so got off the main road to a safe spot. I had to remind Ron of that as he complained about our bad luck. I just came across a very busy high bridge and it could have been much worse.
The interesting thing is the young man who came to tow our car to our home was very smart and talkative. We got into a long informative talk on the ruination of the US school system starting when white racist formed private schools so their kids wouldn’t be in class with a black kid, to the efforts of the fundamentalist Christians in the 1980s pushing for forming homeschooling curriculums that taught generations of kids to disbelieve science, biology, and geology.
He was talking about how he was so busy it was hard to keep up with the news. I explained to him that was deliberate on the part of the upper incomes. A population too busy to follow the news or look stuff up is easier to fool or mislead. And a population with less education is easier to control and keep from rebelling. We talked about how the upper incomes moved their children to private schools, the religious people moved their kids to church schools, and the only ones left in public schools were the lower incomes and minorities which were then systematically then defunded.
The tRump admin tried to finish the job by deleting the Department Of Education. Something legally they can’t do. That department agency was founded / created to make sure black kids in forced black segregated / then nonsegregated schools got fair treatment and equal education. The right has hated that since it was created for that reason, it created equality for black kids / people. The removing education for the lower incomes / workers is deliberate to create a working class controlled by the kids of the upper income class. This is not so much a fight between left and right but between upper and lower incomes. It is a class warfare issue. Hugs

I agree Scottie.
And they masked it under a tawdry guise of what they called Liberty and Freedom. Some folk did genuinely buy into that, not realising it was only a ploy to maintain White Privilege and what the old white dominated South African governments called ‘Separate Development’.
Yesterday in London there was a possibly one hundred thousand numbered demonstration in support of The Right organised by an odious usually marginal fellow. They too have tapped into the immigration issue, but the agenda is more sinister than that. A lot of folk do not realise. The repercussions are very troubling for these isles.
These are times in which our resolves to have Hope are being sorely tested.
