Ron and I get about four of these scam texts a week. They really upset Ron because the local toll bridges have removed the toll booths and simply bill the plates of people going over them. If you get one of these scams you have to remember if you went over one of the bridges in the last two months. I struggle to remember yesterday. Makes for a lot of calls to the toll department. Hugs

I’ve gotten them claiming to be from NY that my EZ-Pass payments are overdue…
I haven’t lived in NY since 1992
When we did live there we never paid tolls where we were driving (not bragging, just our commuting never took us over toll bridges; I worked in central Westchester county or across the (non-toll ) Tappan Zee bridge and when Alison worked in Manhattan, she took the train.)
I have never had an EZ-Pass because the EZ-Pass didn’t come into existence until 1996
