Hi Roger. Yes the democrats are still playing by the rules and republicans have thrown the rules away decades ago. The problem is the same Biden had: older, longtime members of congress who seemed to think it was still 1980 or 1990. Republicans know how to use power when they get it to keep it. They are not interested in cooperation or moderation, they want a one party rule with them as the ruling party. Republicans wield power / authority forcefully. Democrats don’t seem to understand or know how to do it. Hugs

Politics never has been a polite and restrained business. We would all like to think that things could be done as in the films ‘Mr. Smith Goes To Washington’, ‘Dave’ or ‘Legally Blonde 2 – Red, White and Blonde’- lovely films but painfully innocent to watch these days .
It is not enough to be critical of the current ruling grouping with the Republican Party. What is required is a raw-boned toughness to defend and promote your beliefs and to do that it would be necessary to attack by all means legal and non-violent the beliefs and core individuals. A WWII mentality without the bloodshed.
