Im glad Im old Im glad Im old and I feel so sorry for all those people who have worked so hard to make this country decent, generous, and welcoming. I don’t know what we are, but if Trump lasts that long his takeover (and that’s what it is) will have gone too far and we will have to start somewhere near the bottom again.

i am so damned tired of the people in power over all of us repeatedly attempting to destroy the very things that made this country a safe place to be not that long ago. I saw the entry of trump as hitler ….and every single fear I had on his first term has come to pass. We are heading rapidly to a dictatorship…we already have an oligarch in our highest position in government. I honestly can;t waqit for my cancer to take me out as I do not wish to see the end result of trump’s THIRD term in office. Doesn’t matter the constitution says he can not…he will. We have no one willing to stop him.

Hi Judy. I understand how you feel. But I don’t worry so much about tRump as he is a deadman walking and none of the people who are suggested to follow him from the administration or republican party can not control maga like tRump does. I worry about the deep state that the conspiracists claimed was against them but did not exist however now they have created one. They have filled sensitive and high ranking positions with die hard right wing ideologues who are racists and haters of the LGBTQ+ community. The next democratic administration is going to have to deal with these people trying to block or slow walk everything the democratic administration wants to accomplish. tRump managed to stack the courts at the appeal levels and the SCOTUS because Obama refused to fight McConnell to appoint judges and Biden only had lower court openings for the most part. But even as the older generations refuse to step aside and give up poltical power the younger generations are showing up in great numbers for more progressive and less corporate democrats. Democratic Socialists of America is the fastest building party in the US. Hugs

Government is never perfect, but most of those who are involved are more inclined to be on the higher side than what we have staring at us right now. I was reading recently into the Nixon hearings and Watergate, how careful everyone was, how precise. I watched every bit of it, fascinated and appalled at the same time. The major difference was, Trump has no clue as to what he is being told to do, Nixon took full credit for much of it. At some point the door that holds the brain in flew open, and Trump’s brain escaped, and he is being guided the way people around him want him to go. That’s the crime there.
He may be a dead man walking, but he ain’t dead yet.

Hi Judy. Point taken, but to the fact that he is not dead yet I have a great hope that some people die peacefully in their sleep when their time comes. Some sooner than later. Yes we informed voters who understand how government works understand how careful prior administrations were to stay just inside the lines most of the time. But tRump seriously beleives what ever he wants to be reality is reality. He believes that he can speak what is to be what he speaks it to be. He never takes care because he doesn’t believe that any law or rule applies to him. He has never been stopped from what he wanted before and he has gotten it. And he is getting his way now. Think about if Biden just refused to pay for things congress had passed money for or just spent money on his own projects that congress had not authorized. The same republicans being so quiet now would be frothing at all openings. Hugs
