I do not understand the fear fundamentalist Christians republicans have about sex and the nude human body. They are terrified by both those things. But why? There god clearly meant for it to be fun and we are created in his image, hell they even call their god father. So does god have a penis? If so he must have used it. Many religions have embraced sex. Sadly too many belittle women to benefit men. But there was a time when nudity, especially male nudity, was not only accepted, it was expected. Boys swam nude even with girls present. Kids in school showered together. No one thought a kid seeing a penis would destroy their lives, but parents have so traumatized young people now that I knew a boy who would only shower with his underpants or shorts on. He dressed in as low a light possible. His parents were hyper religious. I have read stories from others that also had religious parents that made the topic of sex and any form of nudity forbidden leading to unpleasant consequences as they were growing up. The Heritage Foundation has been scouting personnel for a potential upcoming Republican administration. The group’s resurfaced post sparked outcry from critics and support from conservatives.
Earlier this month, FSC Director of Public Affairs Mike Stabile flagged the 2023 post, replying, “It’s not just abortion, trans healthcare or porn. One of the most influential conservative groups in the country is now calling for the government to ‘end recreational sex.’”
Leading conservative culture-war crusader Christopher Rufo defended the 2023 statement, posting, “‘Recreational sex’ is a large part of the reason we have so many single-mother households, which drives poverty, crime, and dysfunction. The point of sex is to create children — this is natural, normal, and good.”
The term “recreational sex” originates in religious — particularly Catholic — discourse that considers the sole purpose of sex to be procreation. The mainstreaming among conservatives of a war on “recreational sex” parallels a current effort to revive enforcement of the infamous 19th-century censorship Comstock Act in order to restrict access to abortion medication, birth control and contraception, as Rolling Stone reported.
As XBIZ reported, the Heritage Foundation leads “Project 2025,” a coalition of conservative organizations whose road map for the next Republican presidential administration includes a call to immediately outlaw all pornography and imprison people who produce and distribute it.
Project 2025’s “Mandate for Leadership” blueprint, including the call to criminalize all adult content, was first reported on by Brynn Tannehill in an August 2023 feature for Dame magazine.
In the piece, Tannehill quotes the introduction to the conservative policy road map, which declares that pornography “has no claim to First Amendment protection” and states, “Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered.”
It was a flat out lie she told to inflame the maga voter who will only listen to right wing media hosts who lie and distort the truth. For a long time her office kept claiming the story was true, long enough that no right wing media will cover the retraction, so the right wing voter will believe it really was during the current presidential term. U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) has until now been silent regarding whether she falsely linked Joe Biden to a cartel sex-trafficking story, but that’s over as of Saturday.
On Friday, one independent journalist raised questions about Britt’s story, told in response to Biden’s State of the Union address, about a woman who had been sex-trafficked by a Mexican cartel. While her speech seemed to imply this happened in the U.S. under Biden, the report suggested it happened under George W. Bush’s presidency, and in Mexico.
One Alabama columnist tried to get an answer from a Britt spokesman, but ended up getting what conservative attorney George Conway called a “non-denial denial” instead of straight talk.
Now, however, the Washington Post has reportedly confirmed the truth:
“Sean Ross, Britt’s communications director, confirmed that she was talking about Karla Jacinto Romero — who has testified before Congress about being forced to work in Mexican brothels from 2004 to 2008,” the outlet reported Saturday. “(A viral TikTok by journalist Jonathan Katz first revealed that Britt was speaking about Romero.) In a phone conversation and a statement, Ross disputed that Britt’s language was misleading.”
The Post, however, vehemently disagreed.
“Britt’s account of Romero’s experience was a centerpiece of her rebuttal to Biden’s address. The way Britt sets up the story, there is no indication that she is talking about a woman who was working in brothels in Mexico during the George W. Bush administration,” according to the Post’s fact check. “But Biden has nothing to do with Romero’s story.”
The article continues by suggesting Romero was “never trafficked in the United States.”
“In a high-profile speech like this, a politician should not mislead voters with emotionally charged language,” the article states. “Romero’s story is tragic and may be evocative of other Mexican girls trapped in the sex trade in that country. But she was not trafficked across the border — and her story has nothing to do with Biden. Britt’s failure to make that clear earns her Four Pinocchios.”
The truth is the US has a big problem with the human body and seeing it. It was not always this way. The modesty at all costs movement is what is harmful and should have warnings. The problem with porn is not that people see it, it is not even that minors see it. It is the way the right and even some on the left fetishize it to be some grand high point of evil. By doing that, going to such lengths to show kids we are hiding it from them we are making it seem so much more than it is. It is nude people showing their bodies and doing mostly normal acts. In most porn it is acting, and if people could see all the behind the scenes stuff it would take any joy out of it, just as watching a movie being made would ruin the fun of it. What we need to do is be honest with minors about their bodies, the bodies of the sexes / genders, and human sexuality. Treat it normally, don’t freak them out over seeing a booby or a butt. Seeing a penis will not rot the mind of any kid, freaking out over them seeing it will. Plus it helps cut down child abuse if a kid feels comfortable talking with another adult about what someone is doing to them or making them do. So many survivors never told because they were too ashamed and felt it was taboo to talk about. Look at a quote from the article below, do these people really believe this garbage? Harmful to brain development? Never proven, no medical data. I am sorry, I think they have confused fundamentalist religion with fun porn. Besides be honest, does anyone watch the entire porn movie? Really? But they do sit through the entire sermon and give the preacher money. Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton this week sued a major online porn distributor in an effort to enforce a new state law mandating age verification and purported health warnings on adult websites.
The lawsuit, filed in state court in Austin on Monday, accuses the adult-entertainment company Aylo of violating House Bill 1181, a new state content-warning law for websites. A Montreal-based company, Aylo runs a number of major online porn brands, including Pornhub.
Among other rules, HB 1181 requires that porn websites “use reasonable age verification methods” to “verify that an individual attempting to access the material is 18 years of age or older.” It also orders such websites to post controversial health warnings that pornography “weakens brain function,” “is proven to harm human brain development” and “is associated with low self-esteem and body image, eating disorders, impaired brain development, and other emotional and mental illnesses.”
According to the lawsuit, minors who visit Aylo’s pornographic websites are either “immediately presented with sexual material” or “are asked to complete the trivial step of clicking an ‘enter’ button.” As a result, the suit says, Aylo has completely failed to comply with HB 1181.
The suit seeks an injunction forcing Aylo to use age verification and display the required health warnings. Texas also wants hefty fines, including $1.6 million in civil penalties plus $10,000 per day dating back to Sept. 19, 2023 — the day when the Fifth Circuit first greenlit the law.
In a news release announcing the suit, the Texas attorney general’s office accused Aylo of not imposing “reasonable age verification measures to protect minors from being exposed to obscene materials.”
“Texas has a right to protect its children from the detrimental effects of pornographic content,” AG Paxton stated in the news release. “I look forward to holding any company accountable that violates our age verification laws intended to prevent minors from being exposed to harmful, obscene material on the internet.”
Aylo declined to comment on the lawsuit.
The lawsuit comes amid a broader push in Texas and other Republican-controlled states to restrict content that lawmakers deem obscene. During the state legislative session last year, Texas also passed restrictions on drag shows and books it calls “sexually explicit.”
Last year, a coalition of porn-industry insiders — including a free-speech group focused on pornography — won an injunction blocking the law.
Their original suit, filed in federal court in Austin, described HB 1181 as part of a “long tradition of unconstitutional — and ultimately failed — governmental attempts to regulate and censor free speech on the internet.” Rather than imposing new content restrictions, “Texas could easily spread its ideological, anti-pornography message through public service announcements and the like,” the suit argued.
U.S. District Judge David Alan Ezra, a Reagan appointee, ultimately found those arguments persuasive. Among other factors, he determined that rules requiring health warnings in 14-point font were overly burdensome and ambiguous, as “text size on webpages is typically measured by pixels, not points.”
In his ruling from August, Ezra also cited Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act — a longstanding standard that protects online publishers from liability for content produced by third-parties. Without explaining its reasoning, the conservative Fifth Circuit overruled that injunction, including with a one-page administrative stay in September. Those orders paved the way for Texas to enforce the law, including with this latest suit.
Clearly the man speaks from personal experience and exhibits the signs of “impaired brain development” to this day. He doesn’t even have the brain power to keep both eyes open at the same time.
Pornhub has added North Carolina and Montana to its block list as both states implemented age-verification laws on Jan. 1. A similar ban was imposed in Arkansas in August, joining Mississippi, Virginia, and Utah.

An Oklahoma state senator has proposed a law that would make watching pornography a felony and ban sexting among people who are not married. The bill, set to be introduced next month by state Sen. Dusty Deevers (R-Elgin), would prohibit consuming or producing sexual content that “lacks serious literary, artistic, educational, political, or scientific purposes or value” in any medium.
The measure defines “obscene material” as the depiction or description of any “acts of sexual intercourse,” including those that are “normal or perverted, actual or simulated.”Content depicting sodomy and masturbation would also be off the table, in addition to videos, movies, video games and text messages that involve “sadomasochistic abuse” and “acts of excretion in a sexual context.”
Under the bill, Oklahoma would ban the distribution of virtually any material that displays explicit sexual content if it lacks “serious literary, artistic, educational, political, or scientific purposes or value.” Additionally, Oklahoma would empower any citizen to open a lawsuit against an individual who “produces or distributes unlawful pornography” and/or “knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the production or distribution of unlawful pornography.”
A Twitter user could face significant legal risk just for retweeting adult material on Twitter. The Oklahoma state government could allege that Twitter knowingly allowed the distribution of “unlawful pornography” on the site. And theoretically, Oklahoma citizens could try to take Twitter to court in a civil suit, seeking damages. While it’s unlikely that Twitter would outright pull out of Oklahoma, the site could take multiple steps to try to find itself in the state’s good graces.
Deevers, of course, is a Baptist pastor who won a special election last month to represent some hillbilly rural district where the largest town has a population of 2100.
Per the Oklahoman newspaper, Deevers’ campaign was centered around Christian nationalism, banning COVID vaccines, banning abortion, and banning divorce.
Last year he ran a failed campaign for vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention, getting 20% of the vote.
As you can see below, his bill has the enthusiastic support of Ella Maulding, who is an ardent fan of self-proclaimed Nazi Nick Fuentes and who runs social media for the Nazi-adjacent Texas Republican group, Defend Texas Liberty.

Statistics show that the more fundy and christian an area is, the more porn they watch. So no, this isn’t going anywhere, his fellow legislators love their porn – for many of them, their real life is so restricted that porn is their only healthy outlet.
I forget what year it was, maybe 2012 or 2013 I was being treated by a doctor for my abuse. I forget what he was titled, but he was the mind / personality doctors. After testing and sessions of talking, he said I had a bunny personality unable to protect myself, with the bunny personality that kicked in that made the bunny protect those who were smaller or more vulnerable than me being attacked, even to the point of sacrificing my self. In other words, I think he was saying I was unable to protect my self but will try to find ways to protect those who I feel are in danger. I wonder if he said the second part just to shore up myself esteem as I never really felt I had a protector role. In fact, I sort of got used to the idea I was to suffer to take the pain issued to me.
Please remember, this was before Ron knew of most of my abuse, he only knew I was hurt as a kid, and it was by the family I grew up in. I was scared to tell him what was happening, his job and mine were our income. If I told him Ron would have reacted, would have been angry, would have stopped it but I was worried we would lose our jobs and our income.
There was a reason I was back in treatment, but the short story is I was being sexual assaulted at work. One of the male nurses, a larger guy, thought it was cute and funny to grab the gay guy by the dick, touch his ass, and push him in to a wall or counter and press themselves into me while fondling my penis. My supervisors found out it was happening by accident because another male nurse who today would be the typical maga republican threaten to kill me in front of everyone for being gay and when I had to be interviewed by HR and legal it slipped out what the other guy was doing. So the company insisted on sending me to a psychologist for examination / treatment. Side note I should some day describe the meeting it was surreal with them makings sure nothing blocked the door or my path to it, repeatedly telling me I could leave, and if I felt unsafe or upset to tell them, kept asking me if I need a break or wanted someone with me … I mean I like the feeling behind what they were doing, but it was over the top in my opinion. But maybe they were trying to prevent a sexual assault claim against the hospital.
But the real point of the post and what I was so happy and excited over is, when I told Randy what was happening and what the doctor said my personality was, Randy sprang into action. My wonderful friend, the brother I never had growing up, sent me a tee shirt I wore until I wore it out. I wore it everywhere. It was something I took great joy in.

Randy kept telling me that maybe as a child I couldn’t stop the abuse, but now I had power, skill, and support such that I could protect my self. The shirt and the feeling behind it was every empowering. It was what I needed then to help me. And Randy was always there to help me, uplift me, and keep me from despair as best he could. I love Randy, I loved the tee shirt, I love the idea behind it. Yesterday and today I keep reminding myself … I AM A PSYCHO BUNNY, AND I HAVE TEETH, HEAR ME ROAR!
