Thank you Tengrain for posting this informative piece. The fact is the disinformation is fierce and the anti-trans haters got a head start on the defenders of trans rights because no one seemed to realize the extent the haters wanted to go to. So much of this anti-trans stuff is paid for by dark money donors, religious fundamentalist organizations, and pushed by paid groups. It recently came out that several of the most vocal groups going into schools to demand books be removed were formed by people associated with the DeathSantis campaign. Birds of a feather, I guess. But the good news is decent people are fighting back against the misinformation, created controversies, and out right lies. What stuns me is the amount of effort to deny equality and to meddle in other people’s lives. I don’t get it, what is their reward / gain for denying rights and making others miserable? I can hardly find the time and energy to manage all I have to do in my own life, no way I want to control everyone else’s lives. Hugs
