For anyone that thinks calling someone fagot is ok substitute the calling a person the N word. Is it still OK? We have been trying to teach acceptance of gay kids and one of the ways is by stopping kids from picking on other kids by calling them gay or the F word. So here we have a teacher encouraging his 11 year old students to insult others and call them gay slurs which reinforces that gay is some how wrong. But any positive mention of gays is illegal in a lot of republican led states as they try to emulate Russia. Hugs

The military did a serious study of the effect of gays in the military and also trans people in the military, and they found it doesn’t negatively effect military readiness just the opposite because they don’t have to lose a trained member a trans person adds to military readiness. I think he doth protest too much. But seriously why do some “straight” people think more about gay sex than gay people do? He spends a lot of time imagining what gay people do sexually. And lets be honest most of what gay people do straight people do also, so is he saying any / all sex is disgusting to him. That means he is asexual. If so that makes him a member of the LGBTQ+. Dogs that love gravy no way will we let him in the club. But back to the subject of straight people dwelling on gay sex, does he watch gay porn for research? I am gay and I don’t spend my time thinking of what straight people do sexually. I mean I know the basics and have done it a time or two but it jsut doesn’t interest me. So I don’t think about it. But he and these others talk about it constantly, so they are either trying to convince themselves or their congregations. Personally if they are that courteous they should try it a few times to see if it is for them. But I really don’t care what they do with their bits and bobs as long as it doesn’t involve me. Hugs

This is a public school, not a religious church run school. LGBTQ+ are legal members of the public. One person told the students in the audience that their queer classmates deserve death. What the hell. Next will they say blacks need to be out of the schools and working as slaves? I am tired of the entitled mind set right now by the religious Fundies. I just read a story about the Taliban tracking down anyone who they suspect to be gay and that means anyone not macho manly enough or abusing women enough for them and after a spot of fun torture killing them. Just to make sure the message gets heard they send a video of it to the persons family. The message in case you don’t get it is that gays do not exist in Afghanistan. They don’t exist and if we find one we kill then before it can spread. Of course that doesn’t stop people being born gay but it scares the shit out of anyone with these feelings and they keep it very well hidden as best they can. That is what these entitled Christians want to force the public to do, follow their church doctrine and live according to their rules. They don’t care about your rights, they don’t care what you believe, they don’t care how you want your child raised, what they care about is you are forced to worship their god as they demand you do. Look at the tweeted clips, the violence these people endorse to force other to live as they thing their god wants. Don’t make their god cry, as god is powerless unless you do what he says. Hugs

Facts matter. This is a public school! Gay couples with kids are legal and exist. Same sex marriage is legal. Diversity in public spaces is reality and is a good thing. It is not political nor an indoctrination to tell kids in school that people are different, exist, and have to be treated fairly and equally. That is facts. She wanted her kids not to hear this message and the teachers and schools agreed to remove her kids from those times of the class. Then she insisted that none of the kids should hear that message. She was saying I don’t want your kids to learn things I don’t like. Change this to racism, is it ok to deny black parents / black couples exist because you are a white supremacist. And what was her reason for forcing other peoples kids to accept her wrong world view, she was a Christian. So she feels it is ok to take the other parents rights away from them and force an entire school to accept her religious views and tell kids that due to her religion reality is wren go and doesn’t exist. Do you see how entitled and insidious this is? One person feeling that not only should she control everything about her child, but your children also due to her religious views! Not that she would give such privilege to other religious faiths. I am tired of the tyrannical minority that has become the Christian fundies. They are not even saying let us live our lives as we wish, but are now demanding we change the entire country and laws to suit them. Fuck that! For me this has become a war for my rights and my right to exist. Hugs
