Of course I agree with this guy … but reading a few of the comments, it seems not everyone does! But then … par for the course.

Hello Nan. Something I am fighting now and it is caused by misinformation spouted by people like Rand Paul that gives the idea that Doctors say masks don’t work. It is a proven fact that Covid is not deadly. It is proven fact that vaccines kill people. It use to be a fact was a fact, there were not alternative facts. Now I get people claiming complete lies are facts simply because people believe them. tRump won the election, that is a fact but it was stolen from him, kind of thing. All because Kellyanne Conway came up with tRump did not lie, he just gives alternative facts. It has made it so it is almost impossible to argue now with misinformation and lies. The know they are correct because it is a fact, even when they are wrong. Opinions are facts, wishes are facts, wants are facts, if tRump says it, it is a fact, if Tucker says it, then it is a fact, and so on.

Excellent examples! I might even consider using your comment to write a post on “Facts”! 😈

You summed it all up perfectly with this …
simply because people believe them.

Hello Nan. I got to find a new theme. I dislike how the comment section gets so narrow and the same thing with the writing area in the main body. I look forward to reading your post on the examples above. Let me know when it is posted. Thanks

You can limit how “deep” comments go on any theme … I’ll send you an email later today on how to do this.
As related to ‘themes,” you need to find one that is more conducive to discussions. Unfortunately, in my own research, only a few themes are geared for this. Most of them are designed for commercial blogs. WP seems to have lost their original purpose.
As for the post on “facts” — dunno’ if I’ll do one or not but will let you know if I do. BTW, you really need to put my blog on your “visiting” list! I’ve written on several topics that I think you would have input. Stop trying so hard to show the “right-wingers” how wrong they are! 😉

Hello Nan. Yes I know about the setting the thread depth, right now it is set for 7. But this theme is not as flexible in it as others. I have tried to go to five and have tried to go out to 9 or so and it just never looks correct.
I try to catch the email notification of a new post at your blog and go right over no matter what I am doing. But lately I have been sleeping a lot again and so I never see the emails. The good news is the blood work shows a large decrease in the indicators of organ damage and it looks like going on to insulin has stopped the damaging. I will find out tomorrow what the doctor thinks was going on and let you know. The problem with finding a new theme right now is I am sleeping so much I have no time to get things done.

OK. You’re forgiven. 😊
(I did send an email but since you already know about the settings, you can pretty much ignore it.)

I was sleeping and never noticed the email. I will look for it later. I have to get pushing on the roundup or I will be finishing it at 8 PM. Thing is I want a theme that keeps the top pictures / logo but has a wider body, better comments section, and has a better quote system because as you know I do a lot of quoting.

Check out this site for themes — they are more in line with simple blogging rather than all the commercial styles. And they’re free! https://athemes.com/collections/free-wordpress-blog-themes/
The one titled Hueman (#5) says: “This theme is perfect for any blogger or website that publishes a lot of content regularly. ” Also I think “Author” might be a good one as well.
Let me know what you think via email.
