Geez but I’m really getting TIRED of this CRT thing. I suppose it IS an issue to be discussed/argued over, but like so many other things the Repukes do, they’re simply propagating lies to bolster their base.

Hello Nan. This is a pretty serious issue IMO and one that has taken hold in the minds of the Republican base. They now believe the crap and are taking actions all over the country. We have to push back against those actions and those people now before they get entrenched. There really is an attempt to take the country back to the 1950s. But those were not the great hey days for everyone, but they were for those pushing these things. Plus it is more indoctrination of kids that grow up pushing incorrect information. For example, home school kids. They will argue to the death things they have been taught at home even if those things are wrong. It is going to get worse.

Yes, I agree it will most likely get worse. And if you and others want to “fight back” (although I’m not sure how the average individual can do this except through social media), then go for it! Perhaps it’s a defeatist attitude, but if anything the news media says is true, the U.S. is on a downward spiral. Even if the Democrats are able to “hold their own” in the upcoming elections, the propaganda and lies are NOT going away.

Hi Nan. One thing we must realize is that everything is playing out in the court of public opinion. So much misinformation is being pumped out right now both by misinformed people and those deliberately trying to misinform. I have now encountered two Russian trolls spreading misinformation and lies on Ukraine. One was busy saying how it was all an in-house affair and other countries should understand these were all Russians having a disagreement. They also spread the lie how strong Russia was and that they were laughing at Biden’s futile small sanctions. the other one went on a detailed history that nicely erased any mention of Ukrainian independence and spoke of how grateful the people in Crimea and the Donbass region were for their wonderful Russian brothers. But the likes and agreement from the clueless right-wing cult was stunning. When I corrected the misinformation, I got attacked as a snowflake lib and of course the always tRump hater who doesn’t understand how great tRump is. but to not counter it is to let the information stand uncorrected for all that read it. I cannot do that. Gods, it is only 7:45 and I am already so tired I cannot stay awake.
