She is a grifter and paid troll.

  1. Right-wing radio-man Lies Larson was busy ranting on and on about how it’s Joe Biden’s fault. And then how the Godless communist Justin Trudeau was taking down democratic freedoms, something similar to the supposedly ‘socialist’ Biden — which he definitely is not.

P.S. I’m confident that the Russians very much love their children, too, thus nukes won’t be exchanged.

    1. Hello Fgajr. The ranting on the right both in favor of Putin’s invasion and claiming Biden is weak is horrific to me. I was in the military in the 1980s when the USSR and Russia was our die hard enemy. St. Ronnie Reagan must be spinning in his grave.

The problem is most of these rabid opinion host hacks do not have the expertise to know what they are talking about. They are ranting to hear their own voice, to get their audience riled up. I have had my fill arguing with the rabid right wing that wont admit to anything that disagrees with their feelings of a matter. No matter the evidence no matter the facts. Reality doesn’t matter to their delusions. I am taking a break from it because it is infuriating.

      1. It must be infuriating.

Regarding Ronald Reagan, though, while he may have been correct in his observation that “of the four wars in my lifetime none came about because the U.S. was too strong,” I’ve long wondered what may have historically come to fruition had the U.S. remained the sole possessor of atomic weaponry.

There’s a presumptive, and perhaps even arrogant, concept of American (and maybe also a theoretically nuclear-armed Canadian) governance as somehow, unless physically provoked, being morally/ethically above using nuclear weapons internationally.

After President Harry S. Truman relieved General Douglas MacArthur as commander of the forces warring with North Korea — for the latter’s public remarks about how he would/could use dozens of atomic bombs to promptly end the war — Americans’ approval-rating of the president dropped to 23 percent. It is still a record-breaking low, even lower than the worst approval-rating points of the presidencies of Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson.

Had it not been for the formidable international pressure on Truman (and perhaps his personal morality) to relieve MacArthur as commander, I wonder, could/would Truman eventually have succumbed to domestic political pressure to allow MacArthur’s command to continue?

        1. Hello fgsjr. The genie was out of the bottle on nuclear weapons and wouldn’t go back into the bottle. I think the original fear and shock of their use has grown into paralyzing any country that comes up against a country that has them. Right now the US and NATO are being held hostage by a country with an ineffective fighting military because that country hints that it may use nuclear weapons. Yes Putin hints and the US and Nato look at the floor and don’t act. If that continues when does the blackmail / extortion stop? Do we do taht for every country with a nuke no matter what they do? Do we bow to North Korea or Iran? Do we end up paying tribute toa country who demands it or they use a nuke? This is the perfect time to say we won’t be held hostage by another country’s nuclear weapons and while we wont invade Russia we will help Ukraine push them out of Ukraine and stop the invasion. Let the fear go the other way, let Putin feel the fear instead of the US and Nato countries. IMO
