Dogs are smart, most animals are. I knew a shepherd that could open doors and would let himself in and out of the house when he wanted. As the yard was fenced in we never stopped him or chained the door, but it was weird.

We once had a cat who watched the street at parties in front of our house. If there was a toddler with a sausage roll, she wanted out. Once, I saw her sneak up to the child and then hiss like a tiger. The child dropped the sausage roll and she ate the sausage. xx Michael
