  1. In his first sentence, he refers to US as his “moral inferiors” … from that point on, I was shaking a middle finger at my laptop screen!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. BTC is spot-on in his assessment of both Tucker Carlson AND the incorrigible GOP. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    1. Hello Jill. I would love to have videoed that. I bet we could make one heck of a “How dare you meme” out of it. πŸ˜€πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜„ The thing is Tucker is doing two things, he is minimizing what happened and installing in his viewers the idea that they are superior enough to know more than these committee people and all the investigators. He is giving them cover for not believing or listening to the hearings because they are coming from inferior people who do not know or understand what really happened. In other words, he knows his viewers are like tRump, dumb and too dumb to know how dumb they are, because of that they are convinced they are the smartest people in the room. In all the news reports I hear on how the Republicans are handling the hearings / reports the word I hear most is dismissive. They are dismissive of the findings because they don’t want that finding to be correct or the people to know what really happened. Hugs

      1. Ha ha … you would have blushed if you’d heard my language, my friend! But yeah, it would have made a great “How dare you” meme! I’m sure there will be numerous other opportunities in the coming days/weeks/months!

The two things you mention that Tucker was doing are spot on, and in summary he is manipulating. He and those like him are manipulators who appeal to those whose ignorance allows them to fall for the line of b.s., hook, line and sinker. Not only ignorance, but laziness … too lazy to actually engage their brain and THINK for themselves, to maybe take a few minutes to do a bit of fact-checking.

Yes, I too have heard that the Republicans are ‘dismissive’ and also that they’re distracting their base by whining about the price of food and fuel, as if that is the most important thing they have to worry about. And in the minds of too many, it is. They don’t care that this nation’s principles are being shredded by their leaders. Sigh. Scottie — what’s to become of this country? I just don’t know. Hugs
