Certain members of the Republican Party seem to have learned to lie so well, that they cannot sort their lies from the truth, the facts. My real hope in all of this, though, is that Attorney General Merrick Garland indicts every single person whose involvement is proven by the committee and charges them with the highest possible charge, sending them to prison and making them ineligible to EVER run for public office again. That is the only way, I think, to keep this from happening again in 2024 … there MUST be accountability. Hugs
Scottie, it is my hope that every elected official who aided and abetted the insurrection, including its instigator are held to account and charged. Rep Loudermilk, who denied giving a tour, has been seen on footage giving a tour to one of the insurrectionists. After lying, he has a lot of explaining to do. Keith
Hello Keith. Yes, I agree. And after as you said denying it until it was shown on video to him, then he dismissed it with every handwaving oh it is not that my enemies are making it that. Oh no, no one asked me about it … Give me a break, I have as a teenager come up with a better lies. It seems to me he is a kid who got caught touching his … and has to say something no matter what.
I am watching the tortured testimony of Judge Luttig who is testifying as if each word could be his death sentence. Slow and torturously drawn out. He clearly does not want to testify and is terrified of opening himself up to more prosecution. But his testimony is very important. Hugs
Scottie, people like Loudermilk need to be hauled before the committee to respond to questions. First, he said he did not do any tours. Now that he is discovered, he says it was just an innocent family taking pictures. If people are charged in the group, he will change it again. It is like retreating positions in the sand.
It is akin to Congressman Jim Jordan who was not accepted on the committee due to his being a person of interest, was once involved in the Ohio State University sex scandal. He denies ever being told about the abusive doctor, when six of his wrestlers said he knew because we told him. Keith
Hello Roger. Oh I like that. Dang, I missed it. See this is why I love the people who comment here, they catch things I miss, and they teach me things. Thank you. Hugs

It’s good to see that ‘Insurrection’ is moving into the everyday Lexicon, and not simple ‘riot’
