Obvious Plan Is Obvious

These connections need to be made clear and people need to understand that these attempts to restrict rights and education are all connected and controlled by the extreme right religious groups. Look at the people behind these and they are all extreme religious fanatics. Don’t be fooled, this is a generations long attempt to both dumb down the country but to change the understanding / narrative to what the religious groups want to pretend was the history of this country. It is a long-term attempt to take over the country and turn it into the religious theocracy they demand we all live under. Hugs

Mock Paper Scissors

Deranged Christian Fundamentalist (redundant?), multi-level marketing grifter and Amway heir, and former Secretary of Education Betsy Devos declared (again) that the department she oversaw should be eliminated. I’m shocked.

“I personally think the Department of Education should not exist,” said DeVos, nonprofit news site Florida Phoenix first reported. DeVos’ comment was received with cheers and applause as she spoke at the first national Moms for Liberty summit over the weekend.

We are helpfully told that the Moms for Liberty is a “conservative nonprofit founded in Florida that advocates for parents to have more influence over public school decisions.”

If they sounds familiar, these same moms demanded that their kids be mask and vaccination free to die from Covid, and screamed about CRT in schools (not a thing), that LGBTQ people should not exist in curriculum, and of course, erase any discussion of slavery less their lily-white slowflakes be disturbed.

  1. A note from Katherine Stewart in The Power Worshippers
(The Conservative Action Project, a group associated with the Council for National Policy, which serves as a networking organization for America’s religious and economic right-wing elite. More than one of Trump’s cabinet members belongs to these and other conservative groups.)

    Calvinism ar its finest:
“Rushdoony’s works were required reading for some classes at Pat Robertson’s Regent University and Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University, and a standard component of the reading lists among many theologically conservative Protestants.

Women are destined by God to be subordinate to men; men are destined to be ruled by a spiritual aristocracy of right-thinking, orthodox Christian clerics; and the federal government is an agent of evil. Public education, in Rushdoony’s reading of the Bible, is a threat to civilization, for it “basically trains women to be men,” and represents “primitivism,” “chaos,” and “a vast ‘integration into the void.’

Robert Lewis Dabney, a Presbyterian minister and theologian born in Virginia in 1820.
    The poor oppresed White Brethern
Their oppression consisted in, among other things, having to pay taxes to support a “pretended education to the brats of black paupers.”21 These unjustly persecuted white people, as Dabney saw it, were also forced to contend with “the atheistic and infidel theories of physical science.”

This is where DeVos was molded.

The church has a long-running, poorly shielded wish to take over public education. They wish they could destroy all knowledge derived from science. Another example of the deconstruction of the administrative state.

“Not all readers become leaders, but all leaders must be readers.” – Harry Truman
Christianity, and most religions, I suspect, have an apparent fear of the education of the masses. Religions thrive on ignorance.

    1. Hello Cagjr. Many thanks for the information. Again you have added to my understanding of the situation. I knew Devos wanted to end public education, so of course TFG appointed her the Secretary of Education, but I never knew it was one of the tenets of her church. Hugs

    1. Hello Columbus Goss. I guess, but that is poor comfort to those suffering through the moment when the tyrants are in control. For those of us targeted by them are looking more at the things we are losing and the suffering it causes than the future that might be better. Hugs
