Hello Nan. Sadly you are correct. I do believe the canine cop was angry and racist. He wanted to hurt the black truck driver, and would have done far more harm if he did not have other police witnesses yelling at him to stop. It is getting worse, with some red states outlawing the teaching of the violence and racism done to people of color. The story points out that the State Police were yelling at the Canine officer from a local department to not release the dog, so unless the governor of the state steps in to save that cop’s ass he will be charged and there will be a lawsuit. But that headline-I can’t help but see a dog on a leash with their hands up, and wonder.

Hello Ali. It is OK to laugh at the way the headline sounds while also feeling horrified that a police officer deliberately broke the rules to injure a person who was surrendering and obeying orders. After your comment, I had to reread the headline before I saw what you were talking about. Good catch, that dog was quite talented to be able to run with his hands up. Hugs
