Is Polyamory the New Monogamy?

    1. Hi Ali. I know you were joking and making a play on the words. But the question is worth asking. I mean recently we found out another set of maga republicans that attacked the LGBTQIA was in a throuple. I know people used to keep those things under wraps but I know several successful podcasters that are open with their polyamorous relationships. Heck even on Star Trek Enterprise the doctor had three wives and all his wives had three husbands. That would be hard to juggle, 9 spouses for each.

Here is how I see it. I do not own my intimate partner, nor do they own me. However due to the relationship everyone’s wishes need to be taken into account and accommodated if possible. I was in the military where one of the best relationships I ever had was a three-way with my sergeant, another guy my age, and me. My sergeant loved me, I loved the other guy, and the other guy loved my sergeant. It worked for all of us. And everyone’s needs both emotional and sexual were met.

But as the video said, people have to be honest about their feelings and care needs to be taken that no one feels left out.

What do you think about relationships in our changing modern age? Hugs

      1. I don’t think about them, really. I want to protect freedom for everyone to have the relationships they want with others who consent, but I don’t tend to think about those relationships beyond that.
Yeah, I was playing with the words. 😄
