Thank you Ten Bears for the grand video. It does show a realistic side to a group growing up. Far more than the weird “Friends” show did. I wonder how that group would have faired in their later years. Hugs. Scottie

I was actually a bit hesitant to post that, which is kinda’ unusual for me but lately I’ve been pretty angry about those days. Like winter, seems to happen about this time every year
Who, exactly, says I must forgive …

I enjoyed it on your page last night, Ten Bears.
Scottie, here are 3 links from the science newsletter I read. I think you’ll like them, Ten Bears might like them, too. Have a great weekend, all!

Hi Ten Bears. I don’t get angry, instead I get sad and upset. This time of year is hard on me due to my childhood. As a kid, Christmas was a bad time for me. What has helped over the years is Ron’s complete joy in the Christmas tree and the decorations / lights. He does a great job with it. His family was close and loving with lots of kids and relatives, so he has good happy memories. That tends to counter my sadness and help me smooth over the memories.
I like the video. I like the thought someone put into whom the characters were and what they might become. Not only that, but I thought the Schroeder one was hilarious. I looked up what Wikipedia had to say and this was his character description. He is distinguished by his prodigious skill at playing the toy piano, as well as by his love of classical music in general and the composer Ludwig van Beethoven in particular. So to see him as an out gay guy in a leather bar playing for that crowd and being a sub … well it struck me as grand. They all seemed pretty true to their younger natures. Hugs. Scottie

Hello Ali. Thanks for the links. I posted the one about the mixed sex bird, it really shows that sex is a spectrum. Hugs. Scottie

Well, here’s another story that came up on my phone a while ago. Right now we’re enjoying a movie called “Night Walker,” with Barbara Stanwyk and Robert Taylor, and others.
So the Reflector story is a victory in favor of voting rights, so far. https://kansasreflector.com/2023/12/15/kansas-supreme-court-wary-of-free-speech-restrictions-allows-challenge-to-2021-voting-law/

Wow Ali. That is a weird move. From 1964. I read the Wikipedia page on it. Thanks for the link, I am glad to see the republican plot to reduce voters is failing to be protected by the courts. Hugs. Scottie

It was a good movie! I wasn’t sure; many times Svengoolie is a lot like MST3K with movies, and we’ve seen so many, but we’d never seen this one, and it was creepy, too. It was excellent-if you like that kind of thing, I recommend it.

Kind of a sad video, but still funny … in a way.

Hi Jill. I liked how the video follows what could be the natural progression of the character’s personalities that were shown in the original child versions of them, to show what might be them when older. I have to admit the Schroeder one was hilarious, going from stuff up tight only playing the hard classical music to playing in a gay leather bar and being a submissive also. What a character development but one I have seen in real life. It does explain his total lack of interest in Lucy. Hugs

That’s quite true … I just like to think they would have overcome some of their childhood traits. Especially Linus … I always loved him! Lucy was pretty much what I’d expect, but you’re right about Schroeder!!! Hugs
