    1. When I read this on The Independent the other day, it sure read as if the symptoms were of swelling from head/brain injury.

I wish legal aid organizations weren’t starved to death; this family needs an advocate.

      1. Hi Ali. I agree. A lot seems fishy with the investigation. But it doesn’t matter if that fight did it. The fact is this person was harassed, attacked, felt unsafe at school, and felt no adult would protect them. This is what drives LGBTQIA kids to suicide. What angers me is it is supported by the right wing fundamentalist Christians on religious grounds and by the haters as not normal. Matt Walsh and other right wing internet hosts trying to get more clicks and views claim that alone is reason to harass and drive these kids into suicide, because they are different. These right wing assholes beat themselves on the chest claiming how righteous they are while driving kids to kill other kids or themselves. Simply because they don’t fit the rigid mold of what the 1950s fundamentalist think the country should be. These people are the real minority yet they rage and act like they are the majority in a secular country.

Sorry Ali, I know you are on our side, I know you are a decent, wonderful, Christian person. And Ali, there is nothing wrong with being a Christian. On Jill’s blog I just told a Christian who was questioned if he should claim to be one with all the bad things done by some people in that name. I told him yes, do it, stand tall and say you are a believer and you don’t support hate and bigotry. Take back the name of your faith from the haters, there are far more good Christians in my opinion than bad ones. But all groups have some that make them look bad. We try to show they are wrong and mock them.

Shit, I went on a rant again. Sorry, I am just so angry and wrought. As always best wishes, hugs. Scottie

    2. Hi Suze. I just posted a few articles on this. It seems the school authorities are desperate to sweep it under the rug. But I have questions. Like why was the victim suspended right away for two weeks when the bullies were given hearings? Why no medical support or police called? You know they would if it had been black boys against a white student. But the school seems scared of an expensive lawsuit, and they should be. And how often have small town coroners been influenced by town politics to change the cause of death? This story has me very raw. Thank you for being an equality and children’s rights to schooling without fear supporter. Right now that means a lot to me. Hugs. Scottie

      1. victim was trans…if they were “normal” then they would have had a hearing before suspension. Most schools have an automatic suspension for any one involved in a physical altercation, but with the governor and head of the state education system both rabid magas, it is more than likely because of sexuality. No ambulance called “because”…and there is NO coroner in that town…it is a local magistrate (judge) that is the “medical examiner’ they are speaking about. NO medical background at all. What no one is talking about is the enormous support trans kids are getting from the general public. There are supportive adults who volunteer their time in schools and police bathrooms and hallways to protect trans kids.. Owassa HS let all of their volunteers know their services were not welcome and they would not be allowed in the school after the governor signed that horrible bill about bathrooms. Here in Enid we have 50 volunteers for the ONE high school and ONE middle school. And the kids know who we are, where we live and that we are safe for them. I wish I had answers for you, but I simply don’t. I do know a LOT of people here are just as concerned as you and i are and are trying to do something to enhance the kids safety.

        1. Hi Suze.  Thank you and so many thanks for all those volunteers you talked about. They are needed and the kids need to see them. Suze I just posted about one of your Reps calling Nex filth, saying Oklahoma was a Christian state and they did not want that filth there. I remember the 1970 / 1980 and I thought we as a country had left such uninformed bigotry in the past. But just as racism is surging again as is bigotry. Sadly it is being driven by the same groups of people. Hugs. Scottie

          1. that POS does NOT represent me and thousands like me. His rise to “power” was due to his opponent being killed in a car wreck right before election day. Got the fewest votes of any state rep EVER for that “win”. It’s honestly a wonder someone hasn’t shot him yet.

            1. Hi Suze. I understand having elected officials that don’t represent the public but got into office by gerrymandering or other trickery. I live in Florida. Most Floridians are not haters and bigots. But the right got a little influence in the state and did what they do, rigged the system to where it is nearly impossible for them to lose. Now that they have cemented their authority over the public they simply don’t care how hard the people work to have a say in things, how much we don’t want to be a maga paradise. They have openly defied winning ballot measures they don’t like knowing that the public can not do anything about it. They are now rulers, not public servants. Not only that, but they will now force their fundamentalist Christian maga doctrines on everyone and worse on everyone’s children regardless of what the parents want for their own kids. Sad but Florida is an example of how bad things will get in the US if tRump wins. Hugs. Scottie
