It is a cult, the party of tRump, the maga thugs. This guy is a white supremacist Christian nationalist who wants to turn public schools into church right wing indoctrination camps, force everyone to live by his church doctrines, and teach racist stereotypes are real facts to children. Slavery was good, blacks are violent, bringing them to the US to learn Jesus was a good thing for them, type shit. The problem is the governor who got elected is the same and proclaimed the state a Christian state dedicated to Jesus, meaning anyone of a different faith or atheist don’t matter and can just leave or go to hell. He sees nothing wrong with the idea of the governor pushing his god / church doctrine on everyone. So this is who hired the trash above, and tried to give him two high level state jobs to push Christianity. Hugs. Scottie
“Guess who’s last? President Trump. This is a great example of the radical woke college professors and what they’re trying to teach our kids. They want to tell our kids that every conservative president was terrible and every left wing president was amazing. In Oklahoma, we’re going to make sure that our kids understand that presidential greatness is based on how the country performed while presidents were in office. And not based on what a leftist, woke college professor says makes a great president.” – Oklahoma education superintendent and avowed Christian nationalist Ryan Walters.
Walters recently hired Chaya Raichik of Libs Of TikTok infamy to help oversee Oklahoma’s public school libraries. He is widely expected to run for governor when Gov. Kevin Stitt is term-limited out of office.

Huh. That reminds me of something a kindergartener was talking about with her brother on the swings one day after school in 2015. They were talking about the election, and she said she knew Pastor [deleted] said the woman (Sec. Clinton) kills babies, but she seemed actually nice, while the man (tfg) was so creepy and mean.
(We tutors were not allowed to discuss these things with the kiddoes; I overheard because I was pushing their swings. I had a rule that I would push up to 6 year olds until Halloween, when I expected them to have learned to swing by themselves. Anyway.) Kids are going to see, and decide based on what they see. They’ll write down or say what they have to to pass the exam, or get along with adults, but kiddoes know. Same way dogs know, kids know good and bad people.

Hello Ali. Great point. People far too often think kids are not listening and watching what adults are doing. What adults need to do is provide good examples and not editorials to kids, and most children will want to be like the people who have empathy for others, who are kind, nice, and not angry, bitter, or threatening. Every kid on the playground recognizes the bully and wants to avoid them. Kids see tRump as a bully. Kids also see Joe Biden as a caring grandfather person. My own adoptive mother’s father, my grandfather, was a wonderful man. He was in his 70s in the 1970s, so you can see the era he came from. He tried so hard to protect me as best he could. He went from a young man using his team of horses first light of dawn to log or work for others, then come home and do his own farm chores, then take the team back out for more work, to sitting with me in his living room watching the space shuttle with joy. He loved progress, he loved acceptance of those that harmed no one else by their way of life. He taught me not to fear the advances in society, but to fight back against regressive bigotry and hate. As a little boy who would listen to him, I never realized how patient and smart he was. And this was a man who lived so proper that he was 70 before he would even say the word bra. He had an incredible dignity to him, I hope I some day I might have. Hugs. Scottie

If your moderation and composure during oppositional discussions here are any example, Scottie, I’d say you have that dignity already. And you extend it to others who may appear to have let their own slip.
