Good People Doing Good Things Meets Black History Month – Mr. Dabney Montgomery

This is a post on Jill’s blog.   She has one of the most outstanding blog I have ever had the privilege to read in my life.  But as grand as this story is and it is grand no questions asked, I wonder if the feelings directed to those different might be able to be used for another group of people, desperately struggling for their own rights.   Hugs.  Scottie

  1. Thank you, Scottie, for the reblog and for your VERY KIND words! You’ve brought a huge smile to my face! And yes, there are also heroes in that other group and I will be highlighting some of them in June. Huge Hugs

    1. Hello Jill. You do a wonderful job pointing out the heroes of every day people. I love those posts, they are so uplifting. It is grand to see just everyday folks of all ages, from kids helping each other or those they see to adults seeing an issue and jumping in to help, it shows that despite all the attempts by some people to darken the world and target anyone they don’t like, these good people of all ages shine the light of good will towards all. I remember something about light destroying darkness, the light shone by good people helping others. I think Beau calls it rule 303. If you have the means at hand, you have the responsibility to act. I wish more people would follow the rule. But the ones you post about do. Thank you again. Hugs. Scottie

      1. Like you, Scottie, I wish more people followed that rule, had compassion instead of disdain for their fellow humans. I used to think it would happen some day, but lately I’m not so sure. Humankind has had plenty of time to learn from its mistakes, to realize that we are ALL humans, but bigotry in all its many forms continues to exist. Still, it’s good to focus on those good people from time to time … it DOES give us hope for a better world. Hugs
