      1. no one in the administration is willing to be anything but “pro-Israel”, no media wants to truthful about what is actually happening because they will lose their sponsors who are closely tied to politics. It is a damned shame that they are more concerned about their bottom line than the annihilation of a race. they’re “just Muslims” after all. Totally pisses me off.

        1. Hi Suze. I just learned the aid trucks that got in then the Israeli military opened fire on … was a set-up. No aid group sent the trucks. The came from Israel not Egypt. The military was already set up to fire on the crowd. It was an attempt to make the Palestinians distrust aid trucks while killing off a bunch of Palestinians. Sickening. Hugs.

  1. Yeah. It’s a shame how that works. Always trying to understand RWNJs, never extending courtesy to people on the other side. US media at US media’s service.

I always feel badly about not being brave enough to do that in such cases, though I fully understand doing it. I feel sometimes as if all I accomplish is stamping fairy dust around, like Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. But I read one of Vixen’s posts a few days ago, and she’s got a good handle on why not to do it (aside from not wanting to burn;) because maybe we’ll be better able to do more the next day if we’re still here. (A paraphrase for brevity. It’s a good piece, not TL;DR.)

    1. Hi Ali. If I understand your comment correctly, you’re talking about not feeling brave enough to set your self on fire and you feel your comments are not really achieving the effect you want.

Ali I don’t support hurting yourself to prove a point on any subject. I am not disrespecting the young man who did this, and I understand his feelings, but there are so many other ways he could have helped the Palestinians. Plus he would have been able to do more good over the long term rather than the one time shot of publicity such acts can bring.

As for your comments being effective. I think they are very effective. I do not think you are like Tinkerbell at all. You are doing good work, and I thank you for it. Hugs. Scottie

      1. Well, sometimes doing the advocating/lobbying that I do, feels like being a Cubbies fan. Which I also am, so there’s that.😉
No, I’m not suicidal, and I agree that staying to play another day is better than a single statement that people are going to purposely misunderstand so that they feel better about not doing more themselves. We are all agreed on that. 🙂

        1. Hi Ali. I know it sometimes feels we are fighting against a hurricane wind. I get frustrated and feel people are not listening. But then other times I feel like we have to be making a difference simply because if we stayed silent the other side would be the only voice out there. Please keep up the good work. We all need you. Hugs, love, Scottie
