The ghastly series of wars in The Sudan have been breaking out since 1983 with horrendous losses of life in a complex matrix of political, ethnic and religious causes.
The likelihood is that the grandparents and parents of these children have experienced similar sufferings.
All this has gone on while the world politic has basically stayed away, and definitely only a minority cause of concern amongst Western Activists.
(In 2005 The Republic of South Sudan having gained independence then indulged in its own brutal inter-ethnic warfare overseen by two what I would term as warlords, who have evaded any war crimes trials because through lack on international will they were basically untouchable. Mention it on some sites on Facebook and you are told be quiet and get accused of distraction through ‘Whataboutism’).
It is good that people are now paying attention to this issue as well.

Hi Roger. Rev Ed Trevors had a video talking about tRump selling a bible. I did not post the video. He was talking about the picture of a grinning tRump holding his for sale bible, and the Rev asked, “Do you know what I see”? He said I see a parasite, a vampire looking at its prey to suck the life out of them. He went on that way for a few more lines. But what you wrote reminds me of that video and how he felt about the photo of tRump hocking the bible.
As to what a grift and scam it is with tRump selling bibles for $60 each. I am willing to bet if you go to any Christian church and ask for a bible, they will give you one free. Gideons International whole thing is giving away free bibles. The Gideons’ primary activity is distributing copies of the Bible free of charge. This Bible distribution is a global enterprise taking place in 200 countries, territories and possessions. Hell in some states the local churches are trying illegally to set up tables in school hallways to give students bibles in schools. Sadly though if a hungry person asked them for food they would deny them. Anyway it is more of tRump the fleecing of the flock by the cult leader. Hugs. Scottie

Here Scottie you see another example of the fanatics at work.
You can draw parallels with the regime in Iran, and in Russia to name but two.
Their leadership in line with the officialdom of the state religions would limit the rights of women, eradicate any openness of, LGBT+ preach one doctrine of religious belief, limit what is talked in schools, and use all means to ensure so.
In this case the dynamic is slightly reversed in that Trump does whatever he thinks will sell, which has him tuning into whatever his ground support requires of him.
They will of course buy this tawdry product because it furthers their idea of the future, the removal of tolerance and liberal thought. And keeps their toy- Trump functioning.

Hi Roger. Thank you for your reply. But I have to ask, and I realize I am not of your faith, and I am already predisposed to be angered by tRump.
But friend, I consider you to be the very embodiment of your faith, all the great parts of it. Helping others, being selfless, all the rest. The same kind of Christian that took a beaten boy into his home and then paid for his way out of that home. Nothing asked in return.
But don’t you and other Christians get tired of these maga fundamentalist republicans hijacking your faith to hurt others. Especially to harm LGBTQ+ kids?
I hope I have not stepped on your toes, but it is a question I have to ask every Christian … why are you allowing this. I remember after the attack on the world trade towers, every Muslim on TV was required to denounce it and the constant refrain was why don’t the good Muslims publically reject the bad ones. Why don’t the good Muslims stand up to the bad?
OK then, Where are the good Christians … other than people like you and Ali along with Rev Ed, why are we not demanding the good Christians stand up to take your religion back from the haters?

I ask myself that self-same question Scottie.
For too long the Liberals and Democrats have been playing nice, they may seem to be censorious and they do produce good ethical arguments.
Yet, the fire is missing out of their arguments. What is missing from the anti- MAGA/ Extreme-Right Opportunist wing, is the raw-boned out of the backwoods firebrand ‘preachers’ (be they theistic or secular). The ones who hound the Right, who punish them with their errors, who thunder out the oratory, who bring the passion to the debate.
Boebert’s notorious Christ with a Gun speech was such an open opportunity for such a rebuff and yet all which could be produced was tut-tut and finger wagging.
If the opposition do not use eloquence and passion with words, there will come those behind them who will meet violence with violence and the USA will experience what Northern Ireland suffered for thirty years.
Thus with the USA hobbled internally, the Chinese / Iranian axis will fund Russia to do the dirty work on the European continent.
So it’s not just the USA the Liberal / Democrats / Moderate Republicans have to think about.
Winding up these Rightests are misusing words out of the Bibles for their own ends. They have cast aside the true messages of the New Testament- and created a Gold Calf out of Trump:
(It is first mentioned in the Book of Exodus.- A false idol created by disgruntled Israelites)
And are coming perilously to Heresy, in some cases Blasphemy and I daresay there are those who would go the whole way and accuse them of Apostasy- renouncing their true faith.
This is the fire the Christians need to embrace.
I also call out the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic faith in the USA who hitched their wagon to Trump because he happened to mention pro-life a few times.
