I’ve always felt Carter was and is ahead of his time in many regards, especially addressing war and peace. Hugs,

Hello Michael. As I told Suze, Carter’s reelection was the first president I was old enough to vote for. I was in the military but excitedly cast my vote, I hope it got counted.
I will say my unit made it easy and open for everyone. I was both so proud and then disappointed that Reagan won. But I accepted it, it was our system, the majority spoke. It was not until years later that I realized all the ways votes are manipulated and the anti-voting measures including gerrymandering that goes on. So sad to me, that a wonderful idea of all the people being able to choose the country’s leaders has been so badly corrupted. Hugs. Scottie
