OK, so. There was a shooting yesterday. Probably more than one. Anyway, public shootings have always just sucked the spirit and energy out of me. I hope I’m not being selfish by posting only bright things today, little to nothing about serious current events, only stuff to increase light. Comments may be as they will, of course; all are welcome to speak freely. Here at the Redford manse, Cardea Brown is cooking on tv, and I’m reading comics and soap opera spoilers. I’ve also hidden treats around the house for Corky, so she can do nosework after it gets too hot for her senior heart to be outside. 🌞🖖🍦

You are wonderful mom. Long ago we tried to grow herbs inside, along with other plants we found our cats thought we were giving them stuff to eat and destroy. Well, yes, Corky has caused a few changes in the household, too, and taught us some new things. It’s what happens when we adopt a senior. I’m thankful she’s but one doggy, rather than a troop of kitties!

I admit I get tired every few days of having to change the sheet. But I put a second over sheet on so it doesn’t get to the fitted sheet or the mattress protector.
One issue is he has one of my problems. I have a sensitive stomach meaning pressure from it not emptying to the bowels or too much food building up stomach gasses … causes so much pressure that I need to vomit. I have dealt with it for decades. For me, it was diagnosed by a GI doctor that when doing an upper GI introduced air and I went into convolutions. So in the morning I have to plan to eat something or make sure my stomach is able to take even coffee. Many mornings see me bent over the toilet trying to relive the pressure. So this morning, Tupac left me a huge spread of vomit of the food he ate last night. We have to leave food down because if we don’t Odie the other cat gets upset and poops all over the floors. Hugs. Hi Ali. He is struggling to adjust to coming in earlier than Ron brings him in because I go to bed earlier than Ron does. But today he has been 2 days without his thyroid medication which I ordered but won’t be here for a few days. They send two pens of gell, we twist the pen twice to the marks and have to use gloves to put that in one of Tupac’s ears. His thyroid is super hyper and he needs this to calm down and keep weight. Ron accidentally threw out a full pen of medications thinking it was an empty. So he just can not settle today, he wants attention, he wants out, he wants in, he wants attention, he wants out … repeat all day. I really would be more understanding if I did not feel so bad and crappy myself. Hugs. Scottie
