Unhinged Republican candidate calls Kamala Harris a “little wh*re” as GOP descends into misogyny

I did not post the full X / tweets about Kamal nor about Pete because they are exceedingly racist, bigoted and crude, a typical maga response to anything not straight cis white.  I am sick of these people that tRump enabled and the sooner we beat tRump soundly and put his people back under their rocks they crawled out from for good the better for the US.  But seriously if this racist bigotry is the best they can do, we already won.   Hugs.  Scottie

Republican Missouri secretary of state candidate Valentina Gomez just went on an unhinged rant attacking Vice President Kamala Harris on X, where she called her a “little wh*re,” as conservatives posted misogynist memes and jokes about Harris.

“Kamala Harris slept her way to the top, and Tulsi Gabbard already destroyed and exposed her in 2020. Kamala is just another DEI hire, and President Trump is going to eat her alive,” she said in a video.

“Kamala Haris is a little wh*re,” Gomez wrote when posting her video. [Update: The X post was put on “limited” visibility by X on July 22, 2024, hours after this article was published.]

The comment regarding Harris allegedly having sex to advance her career, alongside the “little wh*re” comment, reflects recent bouts of misogyny against the vice president in an attempt to discredit her. Harris is the first woman to ever be vice president of the United States and could be the first woman president of the country.

The claim has also notably been spread by far-right figurehead Matt Walsh, who said on X,  “Kamala Harris got her start in politics by sleeping with Willie Brown. She became Vice President because Biden needed a non-white female on the ticket… She’s made a career out of begging for hand outs from powerful men. A thoroughly unimpressive human being.”

These claims refer to a short relationship Harris had with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown 30 years ago, before he became mayor. There is no evidence that she only had a relationship with him to bolster her career. In a Reuters fact check, both Harris and Brown disputed that this relationship led anywhere and instead regarded it as largely irrelevant.

Other users attacked her as a “side chick” of Brown, referring to the fact that Brown was technically married during his time dating Harris. However, Brown was separated from his wife, making this claim misleading at best.

Other conservatives, though, just posted gross memes about Harris that sexualized her, showing both sexism and misogynoir, or the combination of sexism and racism directed at Black women.

This is seen with one post comparing Harris to the “Hawk Tuah” girl, someone known in a viral meme about engaging in fellatio.

One X user continued these claims, referring to her as “arm candy” for reality TV show host Montel Williams. The two briefly dated in 2001, however Williams has said since that he has “great respect for Sen. Harris.”

Right-wing commentator Konstantin Kisin referred to her as a “vagina of colour,” and another user referred to her and out Transportation Secretary – and possible running mate – Pete Buttigieg as the “blowjob ticket,” reflecting both misogyny and homophobia.

One political cartoonist made a comic of Harris giving fellatio to the Washington Monument, while another user made a post suggesting Harris wants to perform sexual acts on enough voters to get elected.

Another user documented multiple accounts making memes of Harris engaging in sexual acts to various different presidential logos.

Once prominent and now largely forgotten alt-right icon and “ex-gay troll” Milo Yiannopoulos made a post encouraging people to rely on him for objectification of Harris.

The attacks against Harris have been reflected in merchandise made about her. One shirt being sold says “Joe and the Hoe Gotta Goe,” a slogan that’s parroted in other right-wing merchandise that, while not officially endorsed by the GOP, has nevertheless been prominent among the Republican voter base

Gomez’s claim about former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (I-HI) attacking Harris is rooted in an old political debate where Gabbard criticized Harris’s history as California’s attorney general, pointing out her thousands of convictions of people who used cannabis. Additionally, Gabbard criticized Harris’s handling of people on death row, alleging that Harris could have done much more to protect innocent individuals.

This claim reflects the widespread public concern about Harris’s history as a prosecutor with many likening the candidate to a corrupt police officer. This is further reflected in criticism about her denying a trans woman gender-affirming care while in prison. She has since walked back on this decision.

Nevertheless, the misogyny reflected among right-wing criticisms largely ignores any critiques of her policy positions and instead aims to reflect on her sexual and romantic history. This neglects her substance as a person and a candidate and swipes aside any debates about her merit as a candidate. Notably, these types of posts are rarely directed at male candidates.

  1. Well, that’s all just awful. You know, though, they’re not gaining voters with that crap. It’s even possible they’re losing a few. They’re only pandering to the basest of their base with such stuff. I’d say shame on them, but I know they have no shame. Yet they point the finger at others.

    1. Hi Ali. Yes so true. It is because they got convinced with Biden that they were way ahead and everyone was voting for tRump. Now that it is Kamal they can not help keep their racism and their misogyny from coming out. They are what they are, the cult of tRump. The reason they are the cult of tRump and love him, is they are just like him, in his views of minorities, of women, of the LGBTQ+. Fact tRump is extremely homophobic. He did not know Ron was gay, and Ron was his nighttime butler / house supervisor. tRump had a standing order that no gay was allowed to touch his food or stuff brought to his room. Joke on him, the same man doing that for him was having sex with me. Ha ha. Hugs. Scottie

  2. Just came across this one Scottie (my scatter-brained catch up)…I make no apologies for the following comments, working on the basis ‘they started it’ or ‘who sews the winds reaps the whirlwind’

The comment is typical of the mindset of the debased filth that have seeped in polluted the corridors of the Republican Party. These inadequate creatures of small character and barely functional perceptions, for too long have allowed to pour out their toxicity. Crawling, twisted, vile little things to be crushed and thrown on the scrap heap to fester.

    1. Hi Roger. You never need to apologize for what you say here. I want to point you to the recent post by Steve. https://stephenpruis.wordpress.com/2024/07/29/taking-j-d-vance-seriously/#comment-34728

I want to point out two comments, one by the bigot anti-LGBTQ+ Tildeb and my reply. Put please check out the entire short post. Hugs. Scottie

Vance is not a stupid person. But he has to learn how to become a much better politician.

His point was actually quite a valid criticism of the Democratic Party for becoming in many ways and policies anti-family and anti-child. But how he said it has caused the backlash and offered red meat to the supporters of the Democrats. He deserves this kind of backlash.

What is now lost are lots of good examples to back up this claim he made. The extension of the negative effects on families brought into being and then supported by Democrats has now evaporated. His argument that claimed not having children means a person might have less investment in the future of others, the future of the country, compared and contrasted to people who do have children, might be understandably less for childless people… people like Harris and OAC and Buttigieg in positions of a lot of influence in the public domain. Again, there is a lot of evidence to back up that policies supported by these people might be significantly different if they had children, not least of which would be to better understand why there really are concerns by parents about many of these policies. So this is why he later said that this was not about criticizing people who, for various reasons, didn’t have kids. It was about criticizing the Democratic Party for becoming anti-family and anti-child.

But he did not present the idea well or smartly. That’s the shortcoming. And to extend the idea that maybe childless people’s vote about these issues should not carry as much weight as those who do was the worst kind of rookie mistake playing to a friendly audience rather that a wider base… because there are also, as you list, all kinds of supporters who also have no children.

It was a very stupid thing to say and a lost opportunity to successfully and justly criticize the Biden administration for cause.

Both Harris and Buttigieg have children. Vance’s statement was pure white male religious misogyny. The democrats are not anti family nor anti child, in fact it is the reverse. What party has been trying to feed poor children food both in school lunches and while school is out? And what party keeps blocking it? The Democrats try to feed kids, Republicans block it. What party put in place the 300 dollars a month child payment for poor children lifting over 50% of poor kids out of poverty? The democrats. What party constantly opposes such things. The republicans. The bias here is clear. You simply think allowing kids to express who they are and read / see materials in school that reflect them is anti-family. Again what party keeps trying to add funding to public schools benefiting those same public schools? The democrats, what party opposes it? The republicans. Vance is now a hard line catholic, he took the religion when he started working for the man who backed his political runs and pushed him into these political spots, Peter Thiel. He is parroting the desire to return to a 1950s society where the white males are in charge of everything, Christianity is assumed to be always good and have the moral high ground, the women are subservient to the males and stay at home to keep house while raising the male’s offspring, the blacks know their place and stay there, and the entire LGBTQ+ are in hiding terrified of being outed and losing everything in their lives, totally removed for public society. This is what Vance and the fundamentalist religious people behind project 2025 want. Oh, and their platform is entirely racist in that they demand more white kids. It is always the white kids they are worried about. Hugs. Scottie

      1. In politics as in so many things in life it is essential to delve beneath firstly the veneer of the headline then plough through the detail and seek out the driving force, the nugget of ‘why did they say that?’

Although the current mindset of the Republican Right can be dressed up in all manner of accusatory verbiage verging on the edge of paranoia. The basic is:
        1. Deconstruct the progress made in trying to evolve an inclusive society.
        2. Hypocritically in claiming they want ‘liberty’ restricting the rights of the individual who does not fit their narrow confines.
        3. Impose as selective theocratical mindest, so whereas they laud going to church and reading bibles; if anyone supports them unconditionally but does not adhere to those two aspects, that person gets a free pass.
        4. The removal of governmental legislation and offices which would restrict their agenda, but set up agencies and legislation which would restrict those with opposite views.

Its all very painfully obvious, and several paragraphs of fabrications do not cover it up.

  3. I had a nice comment ready to post but it got lost somewhere in the ether. Of course they have to run Kamala down by calling her names. It takes a big person to refrain from that childish bullying tactic, and they don’t seem to be able to find a big person. Huge, fat ones they have, but big minded? Not a single one has stepped forward to try to muzzle tRump. I’ve read that they ask him to not say certain things but they are spitting in the wind there. His mouth is set on “fast forward” and the words pour out before what passes for a brain is ever engaged. Someone should sew his mouth shut for awhile and maybe his adoring fans would try to use what they have left of their brains to begin thinking and speaking for themselves.

    1. Hi Angie. How are you feeling these days. I worry when I do not hear from you or get time to check your blog.

I love your comment. tRump is nothing but a child bully who had everything and never grew up. He has a limited 8 or 10 year old vocabulary and mentality. He thinks he is a winner when he insults others and sulks in anger if someone insults him. His cult sees him as the alpha male but he is the most whinny wannabe victim ever. He is always the one being mistreated in his world even when he is give break after break. It sickens me that his cult worships the man without seeing the truth of him and the harm he does.

The good news is that the cult is thinning. His rallies are losing people. They show people leaving, not staying for his full rants. Sadly he has picked up people who think they can use him to start the end of democracy and the start of a theocracy the so desperately want. Hugs. Scottie

      1. I’ve been fighting a sinus infection for a few months, Scottie. You are a sweetheart to worry, but I”ve had sinus problems since I was 9 months old, almost dying 3 times from them. Finally found a new doctor who is letting me take the Benedryl that works on it now. Former doctor read that some people over 65 have trouble with that so he refused to let me take it and in this place you do what the doc says and the nurses have orders for, Tried to make him understand that some people of all ages have trouble with a lot of meds but some people don’t. Kinda reminded me of a mule we had once. Got an idea in his head and nothing would shake it loose. New doc said he has never heard so much nonsence.

Not posting much lately. Want to write about positive things but hard to fid any right now but maybe soon.

        Hugs back atcha!

        1. Hi Angie. Wow I have a sinus infection right now also. Plus I am under treatment by an allergist who tries to manage my allergies and seemingly constant reactions to them. My doctor just put me on a 14 day high dose antibiotic to help me. I wish you the best. Hugs. Scottie

          1. I’ve been to allergists a few times, had the skin tests and found out what I’m allergic to but dist mites are very difficult to avoid and growing things outside even more difficult. And for some reason the old doc gave me a 5 day antibiotic regimin even after I told him that particular antibiotic had never worked. Not sure he ever listens to anyone, but definitely not to me. I hate the way you have to see a specialist for everything now. My insurannce only covers the Primary who sends you to a specialist for every problem. What ever happened to the doctor who took care of everything? I think it’s some kind of a scam to let all doctors get rich rather than one who does it all. My new one didn’t even breathe the word “specialist” so I have huge hopes that he will take care of everything himself. But this is Kentucky and the Ohio Valley where we are known as the allergy capitol of the world. Allergens from Europe and Russia have been identified in the air here.

            1. Hi. Angie, don’t you have medicare? We medicare you can see any doctor even specialist. I see an allergist and so does Ron and Medicare pays for it. Allergies are horrible and serious. Some not only make you feel constantly like you have a cold but I have them that are life-threatening. I have some good primary care providers and some really horrible ones. My last two were bad, this new one seems great so far. I do wish you the best. Is there any patient advocate you can get to help you get the care you need? Hugs Scottie
