Why I have not done much on the blog in two days. 8 30 2024

Just me rambling about my busy two days and stuff that comes to my mind. Sort of a get to know me blog.

  1. Hugs are always welcome in my world. I’m a hugger.

    BTW: I have tried to click the like button on a few videos. It never seems to work. The counter stays at zero every time. So if you are wondering, that’s probably why you aren’t getting any likes. And no, I don’t know anything about YouTube other than as a user. No clue why that might be happening that way. 🤷‍♀️

    1. Hi Janet. Thank you. Some likes went through, not sure why the counter did not change. Were you clicking the like on the blog or on YouTube? That might explain it. But thank you for trying. It doesn’t matter to me if you watch it only on the blog and if you like it there. In both YouTube channels I have I never wanted to monetize nor advertise. This is a way for me to get my feelings out on subjects easier than writing it all out. As always anything you notice about the video please tell me. I am very worried about the sound. When I play it back I get a low tone hum, and I can not figure out how to get rid of it. Hugs. Scottie

      1. I was clicking like on both actually. It’s the YouTube ones that don’t appear to go through.

        I do hear the hum, but only at higher volume. That’s not my area of tech expertise, so I don’t have anything to offer.

        I don’t find it distracting at a normal volume FWIW.

        1. Hi Janet. Thank you so much. You are the first to tell me you hear it also and it is not distracting. It must be my sound system. The speakers on the computer I use for blogging are very old and don’t have good sound anymore. Hugs. Scottie

            1. Hi Janet. You are the second neurodivergent person to follow the blog. Barry is also neurodivergent and he has taught me so much about the condition, how it affects his daily life, and how to properly address and deal with people like that. For example I use to say people with autism. He asked me if I would like people to refer to gay people as people who are gay. I agreed with him and changed how I say. It is autistic people. It is not a disease nor does it need a cure. It is how some people are born. Just as I was born gay.
              Best wishes. Scottie

              1. I am definitely an autistic person. That’s my main area of neurodivergence. I only became aware of that last fall but knowing has been incredibly helpful in understanding why I have trouble relating to so many people IRL.

  2. Hi Scottie;

    And, to all for this part – I like your video blogs because I listen to them on YouTube and comment on them on the blog. 😀

    Being “out of sorts” absolutely sucks. I feel for you. I go through a lightweight style of that and it drives me nuts.
    Have you tried the Blink style? Boss uses these. They sync to his phone and are reasonably priced, available on Amazon.

    by the way, I work 10-12 hour days, 5-6 days a week, and you who are retired is somehow busier than I am!

    Take care of yourself, my brother.

    Hugs;

    1. Hi Randy. Thank you. I will feel better when I start sleeping again and my intestines / bowel movements get regular / better. What is Blink style? Boss uses these. I think I need software to remove it. Hugs. Scottie
