I was not going to post another video, especially not of the Rev Ed Trevors. But … this one touched my heart. He refutes using the bible against the gay and trans community. In fact he slams using the bible against anyone, that is not its purpose. In this video he takes on a hate preacher bashing gay men. He is reasonable and well reasoned. Hugs. Scottie

Hello Janet. I agree. As you know I don’t share his faith. I once wrote to him and told him that. But also that I was a gay man in a same sex relationship. I explained my personal code for how I live my life. Then I asked him if he thought like other Christian preachers if I would be condemned to hell despite the good I had done simply for being gay. He wrote back and explained to me his god, his Jesus did not require me to believe in him but to live a decent good life following the way Jesus said to live helping others. He felt based on what I told him about my life he felt I would be in heaven with the rest of the good caring kind people. He did not care I was not a Christian, he only cared how I treated other people. I liked that. He often says he doesn’t follow the bible as much as he follows the teaching of Jesus. He welcomed me and explained he had same sex couples in his church and they were welcomed as brothers in Christ. It was a grand letter. It did not change my beliefs, but it did help cement the understanding his is a good person. Hugs. Scottie
