that is NOT an Israeli soldier in the picture of Hawass…man pointing a gun at a civilian. The uniform is incorrect, so I can only conclude it is an Israeli settler dressed to make the Palestinians think he is official. Such behavior has been typical since I last visited in 2005…I was absolutely appalled at Israeli attitudes about people in the west bank, and their belief that it is “proper” to force people out of their land and homes “because WE are God’s people”…it is sickening. Israeli entitlement knows no bounds.

Hi Suze. You understand the situation far better than most of us including me. The settlers seem not to see the Palestinians as people, as human. They see and treat them as wild animals to be driven out and destroyed. The things I have read in the story above and others … and I think how do the Israelis not understand the reason for Hamas and the attacks on them by other countries. Israel squandered all the good will from the Holocaust and turned never again into never again for us but OK for others. The country has lost all the good will of the world and the only thing still protecting them is Biden’s dedication to Zion caused by the time he was in his prime. Biden constantly talks about meeting and fawning over the founding leaders of Israel. But he can not adjust to the fact that time was long and long ago.
