As I keep saying all these bathroom bills and trans people in the bathroom trash talk is the cis people who don’t look feminine or masculine enough for other people. I have read and watched videos of women who look mannish who get assaulted or harassed for going into the woman’s bathroom. One woman was a cancer survivor who lost all her hair due to treatment and two men were calling her horrific names and threatening to beat her up on video because they were sure she was a man. It all goes on looks for these people. Unless people are going to line up for a genital inspection by these gang thugs before entering the bathroom, how else do these maga think they are going to be able to tell? Oh and this post took me two days to put together. Hugs.

Hi Janet. Oh Janet I am glad you found the post uplifting and good. I really do want to support as much as possible the LGBTQ+ community and other minorities that are marginalized because of bigotry and hate. In ways I wish the internet had been around when I was a child. Or at least the support systems that now the red states are trying to take away.
I do not understand the mind set that someone else getting to use their rights, getting to live their life in ways that has no effect on how I live mine is somehow removing rights from them? I don’t see the world that way. You being able to be yourself, me being able to marry my husband and both of us to share the public space as who we are is adding to the culture, adding to the society not destroying it or making it less of it in any way. Rights are infinite not finite. You or me getting some are not removing them from the pile that others get to choose from. But now republicans like Vance and other red state Christian Nationalist want to take the right to vote from women because they don’t like the way they vote on abortion. These people do not want to represent, they want to rule. Hugs.

This is a fine post. So many places for happy tears, and some others for more activism. Now I need to go back and watch the little video. (I’m not so good with videos; I get impatient watching. But I gotta learn some way. I don’t know why people don’t mind their own business, though.)

I have never, and will never tell a trans person that they should not begin or continue HRT. I will say to them, and have done so in the past, CONGRATULATIONS! You will feel so much better!. I am a cis woman, and older than dirt. EVERYONE should be treated as valuable humans and not as some amorphous identity that OTHER people get to decide.

Hello Suze. That is a wonderful way to feel. As you know I live in Florida. I am on testosterone because I have to take steroids and other medications that have caused me to have hypogonadism causing me a lot of issues with my bones and also emotionally. The state treats it as a highly controlled substance equal or worse than opioids such as the morphine I take. My pharmacy restricts it more than my morphine which I can refill every 30 days but my testosterone they will only let me refill a few days before the dose and then less than 28 days before the last dose that month. They used to give me 6 single use vials. Enough for three months as I take it every two weeks. But they started messing with it so my doctor wrote it for a multiple use vial with 10 shots in it. They filled it once then refused to fill it again. Instead the pharmacist gives me two single use vials. Every time I need to refill the prescription every month I end up missing a dose because of the delay of them getting it to me. Yesterday I went on their website to refill the prescription which had a lot more refills and they demanded a new one with the way they want to dispense it. I am a cis man, I shutter to think what a trans person must go through for the medication in a red state. Hugs

good lord, I am SO bloody sick and tired of states practicing medicine without a license! Can you get your meds thru the mail? if so, Canada has testosterone vials available for little cost. Can’t use insurance for it, but that was how my husband got his injection vials (prostate cancer) filled.

Hi Suze. There is another hang up and my doctor’s office tried to work with them. I got three different reasons and they told my doctor’s office a complete lie that it was my insurance. I have to find a different pharmacy for it as the doctor’s office is fed up. Next few days I will figure out what my insurance will let me use and use that. This is how stupid it is. The pharmacist says it is a new company policy. Yesterday a worker told me it was state law. Then they told my doctor’s office it was my insurance that was insisting on the 28 day thing. That last I informed my doctor’s office was a lie. My insurance has approved everything they prescribed for testosterone. Hugs
