My thoughts after the election 11 7 2024

I talk about why I think Harris lost the election. What people heard and understood. Mistakes made from hiring people who keep running old playbooks to who was listened to on the ground. This is one of many videos I hope to make on this subject.

  1. Hi Scottie!!

I thought Ron said that door locked from the outside???

    Halo? roflmao

I saw the results, and like I sent to you, I was blown away. To be fair, I’m amazed that jerk received any votes. But, you are right when you talk about the under-exposed groups and the under-educated groups. But, a huge portion of the people who voted for trump would have voted for trump regardless. Is it because he is white going up against a person who is black/Indian? I don’t know, but no matter how much I hate to admit that people I would otherwise feel were good people could ignore the truth about said jerk, well – it’s inescapable.

The other thing that is inescapable is that so many have so little understanding of how taxes work, how tariffs work, why changing out key cabinet members in the brink of a lost election until finding one that would do what he wanted them to do. Why has no one questioned why a losing candidate would have a rally at the same time that his loss was made official? Why someone hasn’t stumbled upon questioning what someone actually has to do at trump’s level to be impeached, to be convicted of fraud, to be denied the ability to operate a charity, to be charged with misuse of confidential documents, etc. One does not lightly charge the former president of the United States with such crimes.

What blows me away is not that jerk was finally charged with crimes, but that his sycophants would believe that it was an attempt at setting the courts against him. I heard one say “No other candidate has ever been impeached twice! No other candidate has ever been charged with so many false crimes!” etc. At no time do they intellectually consider that a: no other candidate was doing what this asshat did, and b: he just may be guilty of those things. These are the same people that would comment about their kid marching in the band parade and being the only one that was in step.

The other thing I think on is that for the last 45 years, the republicans do as you say – they bully. And, again as you say, the Democrats try to compromise and do the things best for the country. But, what is the result? Little actually gets done while Democrats attempt to be civil and reasonable. Further, the most ridiculous bs gets aired and while the Democrats typically take the civil and tactful response to utter stupidity and juvenile stunts, the Republicans declare themselves the winner of that little jr.high crap.

The fact is, we do it all the time. There are no Ned Bundy’s in the Democratic party because we don’t operate that way. We try to steer the car back on the road rather than let it crash, even at our own expense, and then we get abused for being so weak as to be a responsible adult. To be honest and fair, I’m pissed. I’m disappointed. And, I keep wondering why we grab the wheel.

    Hugs.

    Randy

    1. Hi Randy. As to the lock I told Ron your comment. He told me to tell you that it was about to be changed to the outside. I think he is tired of me rushing out of my Pink Palace to tell him the very latest bit of news I heard interrupting him no matter what he was watching or doing. He is not amused as they say.

As to everything else you wrote I agree with it. Misogyny and racism was a huge part of this election. Women all over the country are asking can a woman be elected president in the US. But the good news is more women and LGBTQ+ including trans people were elected in this election that ever before.

Just this morning I watched an interview with Latino people. They voted for tRump because he was going to make life easier for them. They were not worried about the deportation because it wouldn’t affect them or their families … because they thought tRump would only go after the criminals, not good people like them. I guess they did not hear the garbage comment about Puerto Ricans nor hear / read Stephen Miller claim that even first generation citizens must be deported along with any kids they have. No anchor babies allowed. No one but white immigrants allowed, and only those that support right wing Nazi polices. I will be OK, I am white, but those people interviewed just screwed themselves if the democrats can’t save them again. If we don’t take the wheel again. As you say … why should we this time. Let the horrors of the tRump vote get real clear to these people who say not us, he doesn’t mean it, or worse those are lies he never said that. Hugs
