Enjoy!

  1. Hi. I love this. Notice how the larger elephant notices the other wanting some also. The larger one broke off a large piece and allowed the smaller one to have it, enjoying the taste. No human taught them that. They just knew it, to be kind, to share with others. I wish humans were born that way, with that knowledge to care for others. Hugs

    1. I believe kindness is hardwired in all of us creatures, but in some, it becomes disconnected, which will contribute to like disconnection in others.

      1. Hi Ali. I have heard that young children who have been well treated will share with each other no problem. But I don’t know for sure. I do know kids pick up the parents hates and dislikes. But not all creatures have the same sense of gentle strength. I have noticed that elephants are aware of their size and strength and do all they can to be gentle when possible. I have seen not tamed elephants come to humans for help for a child, getting that help, and then thanking the humans before leaving back into the wild. I watched two adult elephants work together to help a baby that had fallen into a pool of water and couldn’t get out. The idea that these gentle giants do not feel or think is crazy. And humans hunted them almost to extinction. We are a horrible species. Hugs

        1. Children who have been well-treated do share, when they’ve been taught to do so. Those who haven’t been taught, in any fashion-abusive or kind-to think of others tend not to, because it doesn’t occur to them to do that.

And, yes, especially these days, it seems humans don’t teach our young in the fashion that other species have always taught theirs.

I had a joke about blaming the churches, but it isn’t very funny.
