Computer was a brick at midnight

Hi Everyone. I woke up at midnight and my blogging computer wouldn’t start. Totally dead. So I went back to bed. Got up at four and took it apart. Couldn’t find a problem, so I figure it is a power supply problem, as to get it started I had to hold the power reset button and the start button at the same time. Now the trick will be to watch it and not let it shut down. The good news is I did not lose anything. I have the Vivaldi set to remember the open windows and tabs for the last three days and they can be switched between computers through sync mode.   I can replace the power supply if I have to, the only problem is the case is tight for the wiring, far too many wires in a small space crossing everywhere and each other.  But I have replaced them before.  Hugs

    1. Hi Janet. Thank you. My worry is what made the power supply go wonky in the first place? I have large back up batteries and they should protect the power supply from voltage issues. I hope it is not developing a larger issue. Hugs

    1. Hi Ali. I am just glad I figured out how to make it start as I hate not having my two computers. It is so much easier to do what I do with both up and running and not having to use a laptop or Xbox to watch stuff. Plus my video making software is installed on the computer that was not starting. I know I have not done a video in a couple of weeks because I have not felt well, no energy at all. I spend over 12 hours in bed, going to bed before 5 PM and getting up around 5 am or after. Then I go for naps during the day. So I hope to be back to the videos soon. Hugs

    1. Thank you, Michael. I am just glad the cheat worked. I have never had to use it before. But I do wonder what would cause the power supply to start acting up, it has been happening for months now that it would take multiple tries with the power button before the computer would start. But the computer is on a large back up battery and should stop any voltage problems, that makes me wonder if there is a problem with a card or something working loose or if there is a motherboard issue starting. Hugs
