I like that in this video Ben Shapiro tries his uninformed anti-trans ideas on Neil deGrasse Tyson. He learns the hard way between bullying a student and talking on a profession who understands and knows science. Not only does Tyson turn Shapiro’s anti-trans people in sports completely around on him, he asks Shapiro why the issue even matters to him. Trans people are no threat and are not in large numbers so why is Ben beating that fear drum. It is wonderful. Hugs
One eyebrow. Ever notice that? Shap has one eyebrow
Jutting out of a low, sloping forehead …

Hi Ten Bears. I congratulate you for getting me to rewatch the entire video … Until I realized what you were really saying something metaphorically. Congratulations! Yes Shapiro pretends to be so high-minded but he really is the bottom of the class and looking to the new recruits at the bottom of the stairs to enlist in his hopeful crusade. Hugs

It’s nowhere near that complicated, bub: I was being a rude ass, churlish is the word, making comment on his appearance as a Cro-Magnon before the Neanderthal assimilation

C’mon, man. Maybe all Lilliputians look that way.
But – I can’t get past his bizarre speaking voice. I tried slowing down the video but then it just sounds like he’s huffing helium AND he’s slurring his words.
Helium and beer, man, bad combination.

Like you’d expect those Ubukabukastans in Dilbert’s IT dept to talk?

I’d expect those character to talk more like the Thermians from Galaxy Quest.
Ben’s way weirder than that.

What happens when you try to start a conversation saying something stupid to the smartest guy in the world. Couldn’t happen to a “nicer” person.

Hi Ali. Yes it was good to watch. I admit I hate listening to Shapiro, his rapid fire way of speaking with complete confidence that everyone agrees with him and those that don’t are just stupid. Sort of the way tRump keeps saying “everyone knows … ” and “everyone wanted what I did … ” No everyone doesn’t know because that is not true, and no not everyone wanted what you pushed.
That overconfidence of the highly paid right wing media drives me crazy. It is like they feel they can not be wrong or even argued with. Well Shapiro learned the hard way that when you talk to people who read, know facts, and are able to get a word in to reply you can get your ass handed to you. But I like what Tyson said about sports. Just because you have something dangling really doesn’t determine your natural abilities. In the heyday of my best fitness in the US Army there were many women service members that could easily kick my ass. Funny story when I was dealing with a die hard misogynist. This guy was a neighbor and a friend. But he felt no woman was as good as a man, did not believe women should serve in the military, no woman should be a boss over men. When I explained that I worked with women who not only could out do me physically but were smarter than I in things. This man who called me a friend, we went out to eat with him and his wife, took trips together, he looked at me and said “Ya, but you’re gay”. In his mind my being gay made me in the same level as a woman in his eyes.
I have posted that sex is on a sliding scale due to the chemical soup that makes us up. No two people with the same genitalia fit in the same place on that sliding scale. I have posted of a woman with female genitals who gave birth to several children had her chemical makeup done for some reason. What the found out was her chromosomes, hormones, and enzymes all showed her more on the male side of the sliding scale spectrum. She did not identify as a male, she felt and knew that she was a woman. That is the same with trans people, they know what gender they are. Hugs
