Trumps fuck you hate

Former Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, who was injured by the mob on Jan. 6, told NBC News that he tried to purchase a number of the replica medals this week, planning to hand them out as gifts, and was surprised to see they were no longer available.

      1. It’s a bit of controversial topic when a Christian starts calling another ‘The Anti Christ’ – theological fur flies! (Which is a bit silly at times because the whole issue is based on a Revelation of a writer who could have been writing in allegories OR as argued by some an actual coded work critical of the then Roman Empire for Christians to read and take comfort in)
It does sound better when someone from outside of the belief calls him that.

He is a danger though, mostly to The USA by tearing down the infrastructure in a frat boy rampage.

        1. Hi Roger. I realize this thread of comments are a bit old, but you and Rev Ed are the only ones I can ask at this point. How do you as a religious person feel about an atheist saying someone is not Christian. I still see the arguments over if the Hitler Nazi movement was Christian as they wore god is great on their belts. Is it even important to say who is Christian or not? How do we decide, and can I who am not Christian get a vote? It is murky to me. So I say if someone says they are XXX then they are XXX. It is how we deal with trans / gay kids. When they come out we believe them. Hugs

          1. It’s always a tricky one when someone from the outside of a movement tells a person from within that they are ‘not’.
A great deal depends on how it is said and in what circumstances. A blanket condemnation of The Christian Faith as a whole and the Belief in God in one or maybe two sentences is going to be met with a rebuttal. A reasoned plea as to why a Christian can hold to their belief in the face of evidence as to what is taking place is more of a challenge and is a good one because it calls on the Christian to justify their stance in an equally reasoned way.
By now I can tell that majority of outright condemnations are based on reactions to the extreme wing of Christianity, which as you will know by now a large number of Christians will deny is genuine and not to be defended.
In taking a stand in Centre and holding to Compassion Respect and Tolerance along with embracing Scientific Knowledge will lead one open to attacks from both sides as I recently experienced, much to my amusement because both sides used the same tone and obviously hadn’t read the detail; they’d only focused on the ‘trigger’ words.

With those who are atheist I can understand because of the antics of the extremists and to a certain extent the playing with national politics by the authorities of the churches. Those who adhere to this extreme and intolerant version of the Faith have no such defence all their actions run contrary to the teaching of Christ, no matter how they try and dress it up. I would not and defend them to any atheist.
They are a burden that many Christians have to bear.

That aspect with the German belt has a very long history. The Term is ‘Gott Mit Uns’ which translates as ‘God With Us’ It was a common phrase throughout Germanic history, but was, if you like formalised in 1701 under Frederick I of Prussia, turning up on Coats of Arms and various subsequent German heraldry, coins and regalia. The first time it appeared in German Uniform was during WWI when it was on the belt buckle, that continued into WWII and onto 1962 on the German Army Bundeswehr. (The West German police wore it on their buckle into the 1970s).
The Nazi SS did not have such ‘Christian’ slogans, they wore the motto ‘Meine Ehre heißt Treue’ (‘My honour is loyalty’).
            Take care you guys.

  1. I’ve just ordered some Keith Haring stamps due to the JoeMyGod post – a comment there, really. I think. When I was done, I think, the page seemed to be still waiting for me to finish my order. We’ll see.

    1. Hi MDavis. Yes it was a comment. I hope you do get the stamps. I looked up the foundation. The Foundation also supports organizations that help children and fight AIDS and HIV infection. Hugs
