I Differ from Belle a bit on This

Hello All. I am stumbling over how to express my thoughts on this or even if they are accurate, so I think I need your help. I don’t know if it is best listening to Belle talk about Recisions first, but I’ll put forth her video and let you know my thoughts after that I need some help understanding.

Recision is a trackable and mostly upfront process where the congressionally approved monies are rejected by the executive branch. Where I differ from Belle on this, sort of, is that the republicans in general and more specifically whoever is the brains behind the drumpf administration would seriously consider this idea of Recision. I think this is pure smoke and I very much do not believe that is their goal for a variety of reasons:

  1. First and foremost, that then makes those funds unavailable. Not for a moment do I believe that drumpf want to limit his access to funds.
  2. Making the Recision process fact is time consuming. The type of governing, if I can call it that, drumpf engages in is one of misdirection and chaos. Recision is a predictable and voted process that does not allow for dictatorial maneuvering by the powers that be, which not only allows for others to opine or even stop the process, it limits the “well what’s done is done, can’t stop it now” response.
  3. But Mostly: The goal of replacing government workers with partisan drones has not been forgotten. The game plan outlined in Project 2025 that drumpf repeatedly said he knew nothing about yet seems to be marching right along point by point was to replace government workers with partisan compatriots so that he would not be blocked from accomplishing those plans.
    • In a recent interview Elon said that the rank and file government workers are a hinderance to his ability to make the “efficiency” mandates and cuts a reality.
    • Of the first firings were the very people who are trained with the policies and laws associated with the departments they oversee and charged with investigating allegations of abuse and fraud.
    • drumpf has used the ‘how creatively can you kiss my ass’ process for his cabinet and department meetings since his first term, expecting these grown men and women to expound on how great ‘dear leader’ is as a man and a leader. Those government workers removed – while individually agreeable perhaps – as a whole are not willing to debase themselves to perform their jobs.
    • Elon required government workers to list what they did last week so to justify their job. (It did not go well)

This is what I am betting I will see soon: These displaced workers performed x-amount of work. That work, those services, will soon to be seen as necessary, but as the workers were dismissed for being “unfit“, they will need to be replaced with those “fit” for the job. And, of course, the first definition of “fit” is one who will do what they are told no matter what while publicly kissing sweet potato hitler’s ass.

Where I need input now is in consideration that the guy in the mirror isn’t giving me a lot of erudite thoughts on this issue, so I’m a bit lost in my own wanderings and I simply don’t have the time in front of the interviews and news to have better information. So far I’m not hearing the news organizations talking about this in this expected outcome. What do you think?

Thanks!!

randy

  1. I’m not sure I get what you’re asking about. I read this first without the video. I got what you wrote, but didn’t have the video to apply it. So, I did the video. I turned off the sound and read it, because that’s easier for me. The video still doesn’t get much in to what you’ve written, as best I can tell with my own brain, but I sometimes miss things. The term recession rings a vague bell, as if Republican legislators have used it before toward the end of, or right after the end of a Dem administration. I looked here: https://www.naccho.org/blog/articles/rescissions-an-explainer . I don’t know if that will help with your concerns, but maybe. I hope your weekend is being kind to you!

  2. Hi Ali; I’m not very good at expressing myself as I’m chasing things in my mind. It’s part of being unsettled, I guess, that comes across more as a mirror of my disjointed and circular considerations of things I can’t solve.

What has me baffled is that if I am following this general itinerary of the administration correctly, why isn’t it obvious to others? My only answers to that: it is obvious to others but is not being spoken of in the news and pundits; it is completely wrong and off track and therefore the reason I can’t quite put it together in my mind is that it just doesn’t exist; or the most unlikely – I’m speaking on something others are not considering. Specifically: The replacement of the rank and file of the government with the partisan untrained, much as what was described in the Project 2025 manifest, is coming and bring with it a host of problems I fear to contemplate.

What bothers me the most is that I think I’m right on this and, again, I just can’t understand why others are not ringing this particular bell. The effect this is going to have on the country is unimaginable for me, but that asshole has certainly found no problem with surpassing what were once considered the boundaries of decency. As someone who has studied sociology, the change in mores are already clearly being seen as the culture of what it means to be “America” warps.

Ok, you can see this is rambling, and my circular thoughts are apparent, and I just don’t know what to do with my thoughts on this. Got a life-ring to throw a brother?

    hugs;

    1. Well, first I owe you an apology, because I just now see that WP “corrected” recission to “recession” (did it again just then, but I caught it!) I didn’t catch that before I clicked Reply, so now I may have really jumbled the works!

Next, I don’t think you’re wrong about seeing what’s happening, nor in having a good idea of what comes or at least can come, but seems to be coming, because of what’s happening. I think more people see it, too, but aren’t saying anything out of fear that they’ll bring it on by speaking it. Or something like that. Possibly denying that it is as bad as it already is because they cannot deal with what may/will come. What is happening places we the people along with the country in jeopardy.

So, it’s not you. I don’t know you as well as Scottie and Ron do, so I’m not sure what to suggest. For me, when I see the onset of a thought vortex full of current happenings, I pick one or a few happenings, and look around to see who else is working on those. Then I join them. Mostly that involves calling and writing to various people, mostly legislators, who ought to be either stopping the happenings, or speaking up that this is reality, and will happen because they are the majority of US government.

Of course, I’m not managing an entire small business top to bottom, and you are, so there’s that, too. If I had a full+ time job in my days, I don’t know how I’d be addressing things, either.

      1. Hi Ali. I think you are smarter than I am. I struggled to get Randy’s point until I talked to him on the phone. He is such a busy man with so much work stuff he really only has time for blog stuff on the weekends but I will say the one time I needed to contact him when he was in a meeting with the owner of the company he told them he had to take my call. That is the kind of man Randy is.

Now that I understand what he is saying and thinking is happening, again something I had not thought of I asked him to write more on it. This is a serious issue. It shows me I was correct to ask you and Randy to become authors on the blog, both of you have ideas and view points I don’t yet understand or grasp. Thank you for being an author here. I really appreciate both of you. Hugs

        1. Well, I feel the thanks go more to you, but also, you’re very welcome. I don’t think you’re less smart than I am, either. Words and essays hit people differently at different times and spaces. Then, there’s that Venus-Mars thing, too. 😉

  3. Hi Randy. Thank you again for your post. I often find much in your posts I had not thought of, and until I talked to you on the phone I did not realize the depth you were going into in this thought process. I think Ali did as I reread her reply. After talking to you on the phone I see you were going much farther in the future and in how it could wreck our government than I had considered. I admit I had not thought of that nor that far ahead and now that you brought it to my mind … I will get you back brother …. Oh did that get printed out loud. Oppsy. Randy as we talked about this idea you are pursuing is really important and I hope you will post more on it. It scares me now that I have had the time to have you explain your thoughts to me. I hope you will give the rest of the Play Time viewers those thoughts. After all why should I be the only one kept awake at night. Hugs and much love brother.

    1. It is, indeed, important! History shows us just how things become the way they do. In many ways, all three of us plus the commenters here have been saying and posting that fascist conditions are coming in the US, and that they’re coming very quickly. The Rest Of The World sees it, too.

What would have been good would be if ADL hadn’t poo-poohed Musk’s nazi salute, as just one example. I think more people would have been paying better attention much earlier.

      1. Hi Ali. I agree. The problem with the ADL is that it is sponsored by the Israel government. The government of hardliners run by Bibi wants tRump’s support and so feels it must look the other way on all the Nazi / fascist stuff done by Musk and others. It seems hard every morning when listen to the morning news podcasts on my phone to not get highly discouraged. Luckily for me I managed to train out any vindictiveness from my emotional tool chest or I would cheer the misfortune befalling the tRump supporters. Ron often says I hope this hurts them. Ali I don’t want to think that way, wishing harm on others. But I do stop and say to the host reading the news … “So what can I do about it”? I feel powerless.

Then I remember I do have a platform to speak out, for now. However tRump is now cutting funding to any college or university that allowed protests in support of Palestinians. They even made a protest leader for Palestinians at UCLA who was a green card holder disappear. His wife is 7 months pregnant and he was here legally, but he did something the orange orangutan in the WH did not like. So he weaponized the legal powers of the nation against people doing peaceful protests. How long until they come for blogs? Hugs
