As anyone who follows me on this blog might or should know I love the content Ethel produces. I followed this young woman from when they were a teen struggling with their sexuality and their finally blossoming out and accepting herself as they are. How she feels inside themselves, and how they deal with that in the world around them. It is a hard struggle. I know I had to do it as a gay teen constantly surrounded and barraged by anti-gay propaganda, and that is what Ethel went through as a trans girl. It was complicated by her being autistic, which there is nothing wrong with being autistic, but it did mean a lot of people did not understand her and were unable to appreciate how detailed she can be. I know it is hard for her to cover these haters talking about abusers as she was abused as a child. However she stands up and gives grand videos supporting trans people and she includes her own strengths to the issue. Hugs
There is no meaningful difference between the claims made by gender ‘critical’ fascists when targeting trans people and those made by the Nazis of Nazi Germany. Said monster has been empowered by the press for too long and now threatens us all.
Hi, welcome to Essence of Thought with me, Ethel Thurston, as your host.
You can dress up Intolerance as Freedom and accuse liberals of supressing freedom.
Three test words check if a person is genuine about ‘Freedom’
Do they embrace:
1 Compassion.
2. Respect.
3. Tolerance.
All three now and no qualifiers.
If they don’t, you can question their motives.

Hi Roger. I agree, and I like your list. I also like the idea of live and let live. If what I am doing in no way harms others then let me live my life my way as I let you live yours the way you want to. That was one of the founding principles of our country. If you don’t harm others and everyone involved in what you are doing are consensual then it is none of other’s business. The saying used to be mind your own business. Now it seems everyone feels they have the right to correct or scrutinize how everyone else lives. Some people seem to want to control everyone else. I hate it. Plus I never read in the bible that Jesus said “Go into your neighbor’s home and look through their stuff, question if they are following the laws, and ask about their private business”. “Then make a public spectacle of shouting out your disapproval to them and all who can hear you daily”. I missed that part of the bible in my year in SDA church school. Hugs

It being the Christian Season of Lent, which is one of pause of reflection, spiritual analysis and considering the relationship held with God has led me to think a great deal about ‘ Everything’ which in turn has caused me to think about where I am, how I view others and how I should view others.
There’s a post under construction along these lines (some of mine take days to put together).
It will be covering the issues, you have raised Scottie along with the mirror images and parallels.
Should be ready by the end of the week.
I’ll let you know.
