And Now For Something Completely Different-

It’s one of the Tabs on Wonkette this AM. I have a soft spot for Chicago for reasons, and was just interested because it’s not topical, and now I’m sharing it here because maybe we could all pool our money and buy this place for us and our allies! Actually, I’m sharing it because it’s different and interesting to look at. Take a look, and dream a little!

  1. Hi Ali. Think how grand this place could be made into multi people / family homes. Sorry I hate such opulence. I was shocked the first time I went to Palm Beach and seen workers polishing the driveway tiles. Seriously. I did not know how to describe my disgust at this wealth while Ron’s brother and lover laughed at my ignorance. I think all office buildings not occupied, all hotels under full or being retired need to be turned into housing. Housing should be a priority for states or a country. The states that tried it found giving small housing to homeless people with the right of ownership paid off greatly. We need more of those programs. To hell with this greed is great / more profit squeezed is best model. Hugs

    1. Oh, I think such homes are ridiculous, too. And polishing driveway tile-driveway tile itself!-is just wrong. But, as you say, and it occurred to me when I mentioned pooling money to buy it, it’d be a great apartment house. Or just community housing. Or imagine it as a halfway house or shelter!
