When sane men fear dark future.

Hi all. I’ve written and rewritten this post 4 times now. I’m worried. See, drumpf has been in office for 3-months now. About 6.25% of his allotted 4-years time. I know, seems a lot longer, right? In this short time he has threatened to invade a sovereign ally nation because he wants it, has abused and offended our neighbor nation and greatest ally, has gone on to abuse and spark a trade war with not only our allies but the entire world excepting our historic adversary – who he seems quite beholden to, has crashed the economy, stripped the efficacy of our government, deported people without due process into a concentration camp, given access to the very interior of our government to an unelected and unrestrained biased contractor, shown no regard for the rule of law going so far as to defy the Supreme Court rulings, and good night I don’t know how much else. Or better question: how much does it take? Ironically, his outright theft of millions of dollars funneled into his golf course has been the least damaging thing he has done.

Over this presidency, and as heartbreaking as it is, over this last 8 years or more really, I’ve come to find that my first question in any political discussion has to be: Are you capable of thinking logically and rationally about what we discuss? Because, if you are not, if you are going to throw out empty sentences and refuse to have any ability to stay on topic, then I am not wasting my time any further with this. In fairness, people who have invested so much of themselves and their 401k into this man are desperate for him to be not only right but to be the ubermensch that he tells us he is. It’s debilitating to realize he is simply a conman and any indication that he is is met with defensive anger and even violence.

I’m going on vacation soon so will be away from blogging anything, but I have a back log of stuff that I want to make available to you. I’m going to schedule it out so it doesn’t become too much at once. But, I’m worried. Like a big rodent eating away at the foundations of our nation, we hear the creaking and groaning of a weakening structure yet we allow him to remain. Does the house need to collapse before we acknowledge we have a rat problem?
