won’t be posting much today.

I am writing this on my IPad.   They turned the power off to the house to replace the main box pedestal holding the meters.  They said it would take between 4 to 6 hours but then we have to go to home depot and lowes to look at new toilets.   I was in the middle of writing a post when they shut the power off.  I have back up batteries for the modem and router and two much bigger one for the computers.  How ever with everything connected to them they have a run time of only 72 minutes.  Because I plug a lot more into them than just the computers.  I have the sound systems, the powered USB hubs, the set up that powers the extra drives I have.  Plus a few smaller items.  Like I said we use a lot of power here in this home.   I have left the the modem and the router on to see how long they will go on their back up battery.  Hugs

    1. Hi Ali. Yes for a while I was watching videos on my iPad while reading posts on my phone. I found it was too hard to respond until I hooked my phone to the keyboard. Then by noon Ron wanted to nap, so he did what I had been asking him to do all day, get the beast out. The beast is our huge generator. It runs on propane and gasoline. He forgot he took the spark plug out which frustrated us for a few minutes, but once we discovered that the generator started right up.

      We call it the beast because while it is loud, it has a huge power out put. Today it ran the refrigerator, the ice maker, the living room A/C, Ron’s TV / Apple box system, in my office it ran the A/C, the router and modem, all the equipment connected to both my computers systems including the back-up batteries. It was great to have my systems back on. Ron told me at one point, “you really get cranky with your computers down”. My only issue is why he did not start it when the power first when out …. he replied, “I was being lazy and hoped they would have it done soon”? But there is a story about when they turned the power back on but I will make a post on it. Hugs.
