A recent book release claims a cover-up of President Biden’s cognitive decline Read on Substack

I’d like to see someone write a book about how two capable, intelligent women (one a former vice president) running for president are defeated by an aging, narcissistic, wannabe autocrat with clear signs of dementia. That’s what I’d like to read.

  1. why are people going after Biden? He’s no longer President, he was a quiet decent man who recognized that it was time to back away. His gift was Kamala Harris, and no one quite understood how much that could have changed things. We got Trump, and now everyone is badmouthing Biden. I think he knew he wouldn’t survive another term, and wanted to leave it gracefully.
What is left is already in ruins. There are no words to express what that means.

    1. To take the attention off the current POTUS, who is most certainly eminently worse off than the former POTUS. It’s a thing US news does-they’ve always done it, in my lifetime. If a Republican is bad, find something about a Dem that can be used to both-sides the situation. If a Dem is bad, trumpet it to the skies forever.

Same as it ever was since Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act, and likely before, except much about the Republicans and the Dems was inverted before then. Except econ, of course!

  2. Hi Judy and Ali; I have seen the public burning at the stake of Joe Biden with a great deal of sadness. The thing is, he wasn’t the perfect president. I can see so many things I’d have had him do differently if I could play backseat driver/monday-morning quarterback. It’s easy to criticize the job someone does, believing they should have done more here or done less there. But, outside being a politician and human, he was a good man. He loved his wife losing her tragically, raised his family and loved another woman loyally. He loved his children through their successes and failures, and I believe he loved his country. During his Presidency and Vice Presidency, we were successful, profitable, stable, and people used his examples to be good to each-other rather than cruel.

    I agree with you both.

oh, and why is it that we seem to insist upon our presidents being so elderly that infirmity is a near guarantee?
