  1. what he said, alll in caps…there was a time (and not so many years ago) when you needed to declare (or at least fake it) your religion in all directions. There was also a time further back that Jews were not permitted to live in the small beginning towns, long before the country was considered a country.

    1. Hi Judy. Yes to what you wrote. In small southern towns lip service to Jesus is everywhere, you can’t avoid it. There are crosses hung in places that you wouldn’t even think of. Bless you or have a blessed day is said by cashiers in stores. Our town and the surrounding ones are not small and I have seen it. It is like they have a need to try to exclude any other possible religion from consideration or they feel they must constantly remind themselves what god they follow. Hugs

    1. Hi MDavis. So few people know about that. It is not taught in schools, especially in southern red states where now they are trying to say the founding fathers got the declaration and constitution from Jesus / Moses. What I found funny was the same founding fathers that used the Native’s system of governance as a model made them hide in an upstairs room and they / assistance run back and forth with questions. Prejudice against the Native People was strong then as it is in some places today. What cognitive dissidence they must have had though. Hugs
