US taxpayers paid 10s of millions dollars by having the US Air Force escort Putin to and from Russia. Including the F-35 Presidential escorts for Air Force One. The Russian State media is laughing, having a propaganda field day. Putin came home as a victor

A state department staffer seems to have left behind 8 pages of info on a hotel printer about the Trump-Putin summit.

We published each of them.
See what they say for yourself: Trump-Putin documents left on hotel printer https://t.co/qFNNbFy9V5

Putin got his photo op, and gave Trump nothing. Russian propaganda will love it. pic.twitter.com/QqF24rqyPC
Trump got nothing from today. Putin got legitimacy.

Freaking pathetic.
Tapper: So despite the fact that president Trump called this an extremely productive meeting.. there doesn't seem to have actually been anything achieved, at least according to what the two men just said pic.twitter.com/S1eQg4Plu8

Absolutely nothing of value was said or done in Alaska. All that happened was putin got the legitimacy he craves & then invited Trump to Moscow. Total joke pic.twitter.com/Zz63jGxt8Z

Putin says the war in Ukraine wouldn't have happened if Trump had been President. (It was ongoing when Trump became President).
NOTHING Announced.
Trump thanked him. Took no questions and both men walked off stage. pic.twitter.com/0NXU1uVS1Y
This is how an American president should treat Putin. No laughs, no fun handshakes, no casual conversation. You treat him like the war criminal that he is.

Instead, Trump rolls out the red carpet and embraces him. pic.twitter.com/QqwpBoKcAt
🚨HOLY SH*T: Trump just THANKED Vladimir Putin for “wanting to stop thousands of people a week from being killed” in a war he STARTED.

But to me, it seems as if people would be better off if reporters focused on what actually happened, using true sources, and left out all the opinionating and sound bites. I’ve seen such reporting; either AP or Guardian has it. The whole thing about this “summit” and whatever did happen and whatever’s deep fake, it was all an optical thing for Trump and Putin. The rest of it does people no good.

I saw on franc24 that Putin has fired upon two frontline villages in Ukraine this morning. Our morning, their morning, I don’t know time zones. But there’s a broken promise already.

Hi Ali. I like the Guardian and post from it often. I will hope to post some articles I saved over the last two weeks. I would love the news with facts of what happened without the editorializing or bias. But that is hard to find as people color what they see based on their own experiences and opinions. As you say it is up to people to check the information out to see if other reporting agrees. There are also several websites that rate news sources bias like https://www.biasly.com/media-bias-chart/us-main/ and Ground News. As for Putin when Ukraine offered to give up their nuclear missiles Russia promised not to invade and to protect them. So much for a Putin promise. Once KGB always KGB. Hugs
