  1. Hi Scottie, I don’t know what’s up, but of the approximately 65 cartoons/memes, only 24 display. The rest are broken links. The same has happened recently to many of your other posts containing lots of images.

Of those that I can view, the cartoon depicting RFK Jr poison being poured into the public health bowl strikes a strong personal chord.

    1. Hi Barry. Thank you for the information. I just checked the site and they all display for me, but I wonder if it has something to do with your country. Maybe there are rules prohibiting some cartoons from displaying like there is with YouTube videos or porn in some US states. I have to change my VPN in those cases to view what I want to see. You would know more about that than I with your IT experience. But I do hope it is not the same for others as I work for hours on getting these cartoons / links in the best places on the page. Please let me know if you keep getting broken links and I will see what I can do on my end. Best wishes.

        1. Hi Barry. I think I have the answer. Please let me know going forward if the problem persists. See one of the sites I use for a lot of the cartoons is for profit and wants payments for companies to use their … work. But I have found it I open the image several times it loses that tracker. Let me know if that works. Best wishes.

      1. First, the New Zealand Bill of Rights act (NZBORA) guarantees freedom of expression: “Everyone has the right to freedom of expression, including the freedom to seek, receive, and impart information and opinions of any kind in any form.” Child abuse and some other forms of violence are excluded, but there is no direct blocking of it. It is deemed objectionable material, and the onus is on the internet user to not download or possess it. Internet service providers can optionally subscribe to a block list of websites known to disseminate objectionable material, and most do, but there’s no way the images you’ve linked to could be deemed objectionable. And as far as I know none of the major ISPs here block offensive material as that is permitted under the NZBORA.

OK, What I have found: the broken links all display the message “We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched” if opened in their own window”.

The broken link to the fist image in your post is “https://i0.wp.com/image.cagle.com/297111/830/bart-van-leeuwen_king-trump-riding-elephant.png?ssl=1”. Note the first part of the URL is “i0.wp.com/”, and that appears to be where the problem lies. If I cut that from the URL and go to “https://image.cagle.com/297111/830/bart-van-leeuwen_king-trump-riding-elephant.png?ssl=1” then the cartoon displays correctly. My conclusion is that the problem probably lies with i0.wp.com not being able to relay the image or with cagle.com blocking hot linking of its images. There may be other reasons, but what I’ve describe is one obvious reason.

I’ve checked all the broken links, and they too are linked via i0.wp.com. and all display correctly if that part of the URL is taken out. All the images that display correctly on your web page do not have a URL that starts with i0.wp.com. I’ll leave it up to you find why some of your images are linked via i0.wp.com while others aren’t. Perhaps you’re linking to some images differently than to others?
