  1. And yet we never learn, while our history is being deleted and re-written to sooth the ego of the maniac in charge of this country, A country I no longer believe in, a president not mine. “How many miles must a man walk down before you call him a man,—–And how many deaths will it take…. A song I once sang and am now singing again. And there’s another song from the 60’s that is very apropos today. It was written by Woody Guthrie and called “Deportee”. It was written in the 30’s but today it would be as appropriate as then, “Goodbye to my Juan, goodbye Rosealita, Adios mis amigos, Jesus y Maria. You won’t have a name when you ride the big airplane, All they will call you will be deportee.” That is the chorus and the verses refer to the migrant workers who harvested the crops back then, and would be so correct today when crops are rotting in the fields because there is no one to do the harvesting. The lily white Americans mainly think they are too good and too educated to lower themselves to a job like that. I’ve had experience with this while living on the farm. I had more green beans than I needed, so after canning 750 quarts which I shared with my parents, I began trying to find people who wanted and/or needed beans, offering thm free to any takers. Most of the people I heard from wanted them but only if I would pick them. Having other things to do I told them they were free for the taking but they had to do the picking. I suppose I could have offered to pick them for a price, but no. Finally found a family who were happy to spend time in the country picking beans that they could take home and enjoy all year. They came back for several days until the beans were all picked, and then I let them take anything they wanted from the garden so they harvested the tomatoes and squash that were still gowing abundantly, as well as the turnips that we always sowed as a cover crop to put nutrients back into the soil. And they returned each year after that, happy to give the young kids a day in the country while harvesting vegetables for their table.
